Chapter 13

(Authors note: Sorry for putting this at the beginning of the chapter but I would like to make it clear that Cameron is approximately 21 years old in this story. This becomes more important later on in this chapter. Feel free to listen to Good Enough whenever you choose. I really enjoy the song)

~3 Months Later~

Aaron's P.O.V.

It's been 3 months since we've taken a break, 2 months since he decided to break up with me, 2 months since we've last spoke to each other. Well we've said our casuals "how are you" and "hey". Other than that we've pretty much not said a word to each other. You'd think that I'd be going over to Melanie's house less but I've actually been going there more becuase she has an album coming out soon. She doesn't really want to go out in public as she would get recognized and I understand that but it hurts seeing Connor every time I go to her house.

Right now I'm actually on my way over to her house, we're going to talk about an intimate gig with her fans. She really wants to do one but we haven't really worked out those details yet. Shes most likely going to have one but we still need to plan everything. As im pulling into her driveway I see a dark blue car, I've been seeing it a lot recently but I don't know who it belongs to. I decided to ignore it but it was very familiar looking. I walked up to the front door and knocked on it, I was received by Cameron. That's who that car belonged to, my ex, Cameron. Yes as in Connor's tutor Cameron. I shot him a smile and winked at him before walking in waiting for Melanie. Trust me I would have never winked at him, especially after what happened between him and I a few years back. I did it so he would think that I'm doing well.

~Iniciate flashback~

Cam and I were each other's "experimental" phases. Back when I was around 14 I realized that I didn't really like girls like the other boys did, so I felt different. I felt that I probably wasn't attracted to girls so I just kind of sat off to the side when my friends were with their girlfriends. That's how I met Cameron, he was also sitting off to the side one day and he approached me. He was 2 years older than me, we became close friends instantly so I started ditching my friends for him, until one day he came over. At first it was like any other time that he had come over until I decided to make a huge mistake. After we had both finished our homework we watched television and that's when it happened. We were looking at each other and I decided to be the brave one and I leaned in and pressed my lips onto his. At first he didn't respond but after a second he realized what I was doing then the unimaginable happened, he kissed me back. We held the kiss not wanting to break it until it was broken so we could breathe. This time he leaned in and initiated the kiss and after I pulled away I was struck with the biggest surprise of my life.

"Aaron you're a great kisser but im afraid that I don't even think that I like boys"

"That's not what your pants are saying" I quickly replied before he looked down at his crotch and his face turned bright red

He cupped my face with his hands and pulled me in. At first I didn't kiss him back but then he bit my lip, I moaned and he took that as an opportunity to slide his tongue into my mouth. I pulled away and started talking nonsense.

"Cam I can't do this, especially not with you. You're one of my few friends that actually cares about me"

"We'll go into this together Aaron, I promise"

And he indeed did keep that promise, we dated in secret for a good 3 months before my mom walked in while Cameron and I were making out. She wasn't angry but she did question us, she told me that my father wouldn't be very happy with me being gay. About six months later Cameron and I broke up becuase my dad found out. That's when I met Melanie, after that we became close friends and when her music career took off she asked me to be her manager. After that I didn't really date anyone else, 5 years passed and here I am, I was single until I met Connor.
