A/N: The time has officially come for me to add this warning; MATURE THEMES are in this chapter so if you don't like people doing the funky dance or the tango or any other of those sex idioms then you don't have to read this. I have added a * before and after that part of the chapter so you can skip it if that's your preference.
HEADMASTER SULLIVAN PACED back and forth across the stage, his hands locked behind his back. The rest of us—well, those who were involved in the fight—sat in the old red theater chairs at the bottom.
I fold one leg over the other, let out a loud yawn and lean back into my chair. After the fight had been diffused and Vanderbilt had quickly left the campus of Caldwell, we were all called into the auditorium where the headmaster was giving us a piece of his mind.
"Do you have any idea how this makes our school look?" He questions as he stops, glaring at us as the bright spotlights rained down on him, "No other school will want no communication with us what's so ever. There will be no more swim meets, no more debating matches, nothing!"
There was a light pause through the students of Caldwell.
Then, "All other school suck ass anyway!"
It had come from someone in the back row but everyone started cheering in agreement nonetheless. Noah, who was only here because he pushed two Vanderbilt students into the pool, starts whistling as I applaud along with the other students. Headmaster Sullivan struggles to contain the loud sound.
"Thank you for sharing you opinion Mr Myles, but it does nothing to diminish the fact that all of you have embarrassed the school." The headmaster explains once the crowd had been silenced, "And as a result, you will all be given two weeks detention. Jobs will be assigned ranging from helping the Groundsmen to serving lunch which I'm know some of you are already doing."
He was looking right at me as he said this and I was honestly frightened how he could pick me out of the crowd so easily.
Everyone groans in agony, mostly because some were expecting to be expelled. Honestly, it would be a hell of a lot better than detention and that's saying something.
Headmaster Sullivan nods before concluding, "You may all return to your dorm rooms now. Goodnight."
As students rise from there seats, I glance at Noah to me left.
"Whatever I get, it better not be fucking serving food." Noah grumbles before running a hand through his blonde hair, "Have you seen what those hairnets do to these golden locks?"
I roll my eyes and stand while reaching out and shaking my hand through those golden locks, "Let's go, you idiot."
We leave the assembly hall with everyone else. The girls head in the direction of Arlington and Emerson hall while I walk back to Elwood with the guys. I flip the hood of my grey hoodie over my head, feeling the light sprinkle of rain. It was night by now and the pathways were lit by the golden glow of antique black lamps.
