" Ayesha, Shamar I know yall are here just open up I wanna talk to you both, I'm alone" Kehlani says

She soon hears a clicking sound and the door unlocks

"Hey sheriff" Shamar says with his hands stuffed into his pockets

" Can I come in".

"Sure" He steps aside

"Hey grandma" Ayesha says as she raises herself off of the bed

" Okay I just have a few questions for you guys"

" Where were you between the hours of 11pm lastnight and 1am this morning"

"We were at Mario's party then we left around 11 and came here" Ayesha says

" and you guys decided to come here?"

" Yeah"

" But you have an appartment right Shamar?"

" I do"

" Why not go there"

" We just wanted some peace lastnight  that apartment can be loud as fuck sometimes"

"Language, Ayesha when was the last time you spoke to Ray or even saw him?"

" Earlier yesterday at school he came to get me but I blew him off and left with Shamar instead"

" You do know he is dead right"

" So I heard via the news"

"Do you have any idea who might've done such a gruesome murder"

" Look he deserved it okay, you should've sent the way he treated her, who does that huh who treats a woman as though she is some kind of mat to be trampled on I had to do something I had to protect her" Shamar says

" Son what are you saying?"

" I'm the one who did it, I killed Ray Benson"

" I'm afraid I will have to take you down to the station. Ayesha I'll have your uncle Jared take you home" Kehlani says

" Grandma please dont arrest him he is lying he is trying to protect me"

" Just go home sweetie, get some rest you had a long night"Lani says as they take Shamar away in handcuffs

At the station

" What really happened that night Shamar, I want the truth"

" I told you everything already. Shouldn't I be allowed to contact my lawyer"

" Dont get smart with me boy I'm trying to help you here" Lani says. " But I will not be able to do unless you tell me the truth so imma ask you again what really happened that night"

" Ayesha and I left the party around 10 that night and it took us another 30 minutes to get to my apartment while we were there the door was kicked in and in came Ray with another guy I believed his name is Andre that's what I heard them addressing him as. Anyway, Ray started saying filthy things about Ayesha and it was grabbing on her I couldnt take it and i punched him then a fight broke out between us then a gun went off and Ray pulled himself off of me holding his chest and he fell over. Andre then revealed that he shot him and he did it through revenge for his sister who Ray raped and killed a year ago. Andre said the police doesnt have to find out and he got his boys to get rid of the body and adviced us to stay at an apartment while they cleaned up the apartment. Sherriff I'm so sorry for lying but I did it to protect the girl I love. Cause my father taught me that when you love someone you go to the extreme to protect them"

" I knew you were protecting my granddaughter I couldve just seen it in your eyes. Look you kept this murder a secret, but I was also raised to give people second chances and I see how much you care about my granddaughter so imma let you go but consider this a warning".

" Yes sheriff, thank you and I'm sorry once again"

"Let's go I'll give you a ride home"

Meanwhile Ayesha has just arrived home

" Mom"

" Ayesha where were you, you had me worried sick"

" I'm fine, what I wanna know is how long you've been keeping your pregnancy away from us"

" What you're pregnant?" Antoine says

" Yes she is now you two has so much to talk about I'll go see where Ashlee is at"

" Not so fast young lady what really happened tonight"

" Ray is dead the monster is finally gone but Shamar took the fall for it"

"So who did it?" Antoine says

" Some guy name Andre Ray did the same thing to his sister so he was out for revenge"

" Poor Shamar, he is such a good kid" Deja says

Just then they hear a knock on the door

" I'll get it" Antoine says

" Mama what are you doing here"

" Where is Ayesha"

" I'm right here, how is Shamar doing?"

" He is home, I allowed him to go he told me everything. We are currently in search of this Andre guy"

" Thank you so much grandma I love you" She kisses her cheek. "I gotta go call him oh and you're getting another grandchild mom is pregnant" She runs up the stairs

" I was gonna tell you all soon but i was just scared after what happened in the past"

" I'm here babe nothing is gonna happened I'm sorry for the way things have been between us as of late. I love you"

" I love you too" They hug

" This call for a celebration, dinner at mine and my wife's house on friday. All of my kids and their spouses and my grandchildren are invited" Lani announces.
