Yet another dream passed by quickly, quickly but painfully, he didn't want to be part of that class trial, but he was.
He woke up before the announcement, he doubted he would be able to fall back asleep. Because he wasn't crying, he hadn't woken up Kokichi this time, which means he couldn't move, in fear of waking the shorter boy up.
But, it seemed that even the slightest change could wake the shorter boy up. Only a couple of minutes after Shuichi had woke up, so has he. Shuichi silently thought to himself, mentally blaming himself. He quietly apologized to him, feeling bad.
Kokichi didn't seem to mind, it was almost as if he was expecting to wake up early again.
The two stood up and stretched almost at the same time. They quickly got changed and started to think about what they could do in the time they had left.
They ended up spending the whole time thinking about what they could do.
The 8AM announcement sounded sooner or later, the two were surprised, but laughed it off. Shuichi went to shower before he went to the dining hall while Kokichi went there immediately.
Soon, everyone, including Shuichi, gathered. Kirumi brought everyone breakfast because she thought that she had to. It was unusually quiet however.
However, Kaede broke the silence.
"Does anyone else remember the dream or is it just me? The class trial?"
Everyone looked around at each other before Shuichi spoke, asking if she meant the one in which she was found guilty.
She answered, her answer was a yes.
Everyone looked around at each other and then at Kaede, who was looking down at her food, picking at it.
She then spoke,
"I can't believe I would do that, I wouldn't kill Rantaro... What was my dream-self's thought process? However, Shuichi saw what actually happened, I didn't actually kill him, did I?"
Everyone suddenly turned to Shuichi, who seemed nervous. He pulled his hat over his eyes and shivered a little. He was going to answer when Rantaro answered for him generously once he saw his reaction.
Shuichi pulled his hat back up and sighed in relief quietly.
After everything was settled and everyone understood the situation, Kirumi got everyone's empty plates and went to the kitchen to wash them while everyone left to do their own thing.
Shuichi decided to head to the library, he walked down to the basement and in through the large dorrs closest to the stairs.
Nobody was inside so he could look around the place in peace without anyone interrupting him.
He found that one of the bookcases was unusual, and actually had a hidden dorr behind it. It was oddly designed like Monokuma.
He didn't question it and quickly pushed the bookcase back into place in case someone came in.
He then scanned through the books, hoping to find a book he would be able to read.
He scanned through two whole bookcases, but they both only had books in foreign languages.
Luckily for Shuichi, on the third bookcase he looked through, there actually were books that he could read and understand. He scanned through the side of each book, trying to find a good book until a certain book caught his eye.
The name of the book was 'Ink', he didn't bother looking at the author, not like it mattered, he wasn't going to get quizzed on the book or anything of that sort.
He looked at the blurb and then decided that it was a decent book that he was willing to read, so he held it in his hands and then walked back to the dormitory.
On his way there, Ryoma appeared and talked to him for a while, just to spent time together, as friends.
Not much time passed and the two walked in different directions, splitting up.
On his way to his dorm, he also met up with Kaede, who asked him about the book he was holding and what it was about.
For a while the two talked.
Shuichi felt weird, as if someone was watching him and Kaede talk. He didn't turn around and look around to avoid looking suspicious.
Once the two finished talking, Shuichi went to his shared dorm and to nobody's surprise, it was empty.
He knew Kokichi is probably trying to prank Kiibo or something along those lines.
Shuichi settled down on the bed and opened the book, beginning to read it. It was surprisingly interesting and didn't bore Shuichi.
However, half-way through him reading, someone showed up at the dorm. That's correct, Kokichi.
He complained that he was bored and didn't have anything to do.
"I want to do something with my beloved Shumai!"
Shuichi blushed slightly at the nickname, but told Kokichi he couldn't help him.
Kokichi climbed onto the bed, generously marked where in the book Shuichi was and threw the book somewhere across the room, he was now straddling Shuichi, in an almost serious tone he said,
"Entertain me Shuichi"
To say the least, Shuichi was scared. He has never seen Kokichi this serious, but...maybe it was all a ruse? That wouldn't be surprising as Kokichi is a skilled liar, and Shuichi had to admit that.
Kokichi bounced up a little, adjusting his position and looked straight into Shuichi's eyes, who was quite embarrassed and a little bit of a blushing mess.
He told Kokichi,
"Don't do that! Please..."
Kokichi tilted his head to the side a little, pretending not to know what Shuichi meant and did it again.
"Kokochi, please. For the love of whoever's watching from above, stop"
Kokichi chuckled, his serious tone disappearing completely. So it was a ruse, how unsurprising.
Kokichi didn't get off of Shuichi, but he didn't do anything weirder. Shuichi felt slightly uncomfortable, he was sitting there after all, while being straddled by Kokichi.
The two talked about nothing in particular, even if Shuichi wanted to, he wouldn't of have been able to have a serious conversation with Kokichi, so he didn't even try it.
And so,
It escalated.
