Authors note

There's a lot of dialogue in this chapter. Sorry if it's crap. It's late but I had some really good ideas. :)

As Dean slowly pulled away, he could feel heat rising in his cheeks. Cas' face was unreadable.

"Uh, I, um, sorry," Dean sputtered.

"About what?" Cas inquired.

"Kissing you like that."

What do you have to be sorry for, except for the fact that you could have told me you were gay a long time ago."

Dean was surprised. "Cas, I thought you were straight."

"Farthest thing from it my friend," Cas looked pleased with himself for finally letting out the truth. Dean could only stare. He had a crush on Castiel for the longest time but never thought it was to the point of wanting to kiss him. The most surprising part was that Cas kissed him back. He was sure that Cas was straight, but apparently he was 'the farthest thing from it'.

As Dean dropped off Cas at his house, he leaned out the window as soon as Cas' hand was on the doorknob.

"Hey, Cas. Did all of this still never happen?" He called after Cas.

"Um... it all happened but I won't tell anyone," Cas smiled to himself and went inside.

When Dean arrived at home,  there was a very grumpy looking Sam sitting on the couch.

"What were you doing?" Sam asked. Even though Sammy was younger than Dean by almost 4 years, he was taller and sometimes he scared the shit out of Dean.

"I just gave someone a ride home," Dean answered slowly. "Why, what were you doing?"

Sam just gave an exasperated sigh at went up to his room. Their dad wasn't supposed to be home for another month, so Dean had to do all he could to keep Sammy happy.

"Sam, wait," Dean called after him.

"What, Dean?" Sam slowly turned around and looked him dead in the eye.

"Sam, I want you to know something," Dean hesitated. "Sammy, I'm gay. The kid I gave a ride to was Castiel. I think his brother is in your class."

"Dean, I kinda figured that," Sam said with a smile.

"Wait, how? I haven't told anyone except you, and by the way, I don't want you to tell anyone. Especially not dad."

"Dean, I've seen you look at other guys the way that Gabriel - Castiel's brother - looks at girls. And trust me, it's quite a look."

Dean just stared at Sam with a look of complete and utter surprise on his face. After a moment, Dean went upstairs and laid on his bed. So, Sammy had apparently known he was gay, Dean just kissed Castiel Novak, and... there was a knock at the door.

"I got it!" Sam called from downstairs. And then a second later, "Dean! It's for you!"

Who could that possibly be? Dean though as he made his way downstairs. Sitting on the couch was the one and only, Castiel.

"Hey, Cas. Where'd my brother go?" Dean asked.

"He went to the basement with my brother," Cas said, sounding as if he was annoyed.

"Why are you sitting on my couch? I mean not trying to be rude, but if your brother is here..." Dean trailed off.

"Why, Dean what were you thinking?" Cas questioned with a smile.

Dean just blushed and sat down next to Cas. Dean looked up and smiled involuntarily. Cas had his hand laying leave limp on the cushion, right there for Dean to grab hold of. But, Dean wasn't sure how Cas fell about that and restrained himself.

"So Dean," Cas continued. "Do you maybe want to go to a movie tonight?"

A movie? Dean thought. Is he asking me on a date? "Uh..." Dean tried stalling. Hell with it, he thought. "Yes... yes Castiel, I would love to go to a movie."
