Brendon has definitely become Mr.Popular in the past two week. Yet, he still hung out with Jackie and I during gym.
"Ladies," Brendon said as he walked up to Jackie and I in a corner of the gym waiting for our teacher to yell at us to get in our spots.
"Hey, Urie," Jackie and I said.
"So, any of you two going to go to homecoming?"
"Nope," Jackie answered.
"Why's that?"
"No one's asked me and Netflix and I have a date together that night."
"Whoa, sounds like you two are getting really close," I said.
"I know right. We went from one hour of spending time together to almost the whole day," she replied causing Brendon and I to chuckle.
"What about you, Jamie. Are you going to go?" Brendon asked me.
"I don't think so," I answered.
"Whyyy?"
"I'm not the kind of girl that will wear a dress. Also, I think I'm just going to hang out with a couple of friends that night."
"Has anyone even asked you?"
"You're funny, Urie."
"What do you mean?"
"Why would anyone ask me out? I'm just a glob that wears a lot of black."
He lightly slapped my left cheek before speaking. "Don't every say that again."
"Damn, okay then. Take it easy."
"I'm serious Jamie."
"No promises." Brendon was about to argue with me more but our gym teacher yelled at everyone to go outside and run four laps around the track. In the heat. Kill us now.
Jackie and I jogged together while Brendon ran because he liked being done with it as soon as possible.
"Why do you think Brendon reacted the way he did back there?" I asked Jackie.
"I don't know. Maybe he likes you?" she suggested.
"You're just as funny as him."
"What- oh shit he's looking, lets jog," she said when she noticed our gym teacher was looking in our direction.
After a couple of minutes of us walking and jogging, we finally finished and made our way to the upstairs gym since the sophomores were using the main gym. Our teacher put us in teams. Brendon and Jackie were on the same team while I was with some people I don't really talk to. Both of our teams were called up next so we made our way the center.
"Hey Jamie, what are your favorite flowers?" Jackie asked me when I was next to her.
"White roses. Why?" I asked waiting for the ball to get near me.
"Just curious," she said innocently then walked away slowly over to Brendon. I ignored them and continued being focused since I am a competitive person when it comes to something I enjoy.
"So are you going to the homecoming football game tonight?" Jackie asked me when we got into the locker rooms.
"Yeah. Are you?"
"Not sure yet but -" she said before the bell cut her off. "Later, Jamie."
"Bye," I said before walking out of the locker room and headed towards Andrea's and I's shared locker.
"Why, hello there friend!" She greeted me when she saw me.
"Hi friend! Are you coming to the football game tonight?"
"Do you want to go?"
"Well, they have good fries."
"Then yes."
We quickly got our stuff out of our locker before going to the front of the building to wait for her mom to pick us up. After a couple of minutes, she arrived and we got home quickly. I walked to my house and layed down on my bed to take a nap so I would be rested for the game.
After my five hour nap, I texted Andrea saying that I was going to leave soon. I changed into a sweater since the game would end at ten and made my way to Andrea's house.
"ANDREA!" I yelled when I was outside her house.
"JAMIE!" she yelled back from upstairs inside her room.
"ARE YOU READY?" By now I would probably be making the neighbors pissed off at me but they already know Andrea and I and are used to our loud outbursts.
"GOLLY AM I!" she replied opening her front door.
"Let's go." We linked our arms and skipped down the street like the losers we are.
When we got there, we noticed that a lot of people were starting to show up so we bought our tickets and found a spot near the top of the bleachers to watch the game and so our friends could sit with us. Around halftime, I got a call from Brendon.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hi, where are you and Andrea sitting?"
"At the top of the bleachers next to the hype squad."
"Okay," and with that he hung up. He sounded slightly nervous which made me worried as to why. He's always so happy and easy going. What on earth could make that boy nervous.
"Hey, Andrea, I think Brendon is going to be join us soon."
"Okay."
A couple minutes later, our team made a touch down which caused our side of the field to go ballistic. When everyone sat back down, Andrea and I stood still seeing something we never thought we would ever see.
Coming up the bleachers were Brendon and Kevin. Each of them holding a bouquet of flowers in there hands. Smirking directly at us. Andrea and I quickly looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders not knowing what was going on. We noticed our friends holding their phones as if they were recoding something.
"Jamie," Brendon said causing me to bring my focus to him.
"Andrea," Kevin said which caught Andrea's attention.
We both turned our heads to them waiting for them to continue.
"How would you two like to go on a double date tomorrow night? Andrea with Kevin-" said Brendon.
"And Jamie with Brendon," finished Kevin.
"What do you say?" They both asked handing out the flowers to us.
"Yes!" said Andrea hugging Kevin.
"Jamie?" Brendon asked giving me puppy dog eyes.
"I would love to," I responded which caused Brendon to hug me tightly to which I hugged back.
