Research
____________________________Sam goes the simple way and decides to just make burgers. Once he has the patties on the stovetop, he cuts the buns open and prepares the condiments. Sam washes the lettuce, cuts the tomatoes into slices, and chops an onion. He places those, along with ketchup, mustard, and the pickle jar, on the table. When the burgers are done, he decides to go over the intercom system and announce dinner is ready.
Sam hadn't found out about the intercom system until months after they'd moved in. He'd all of a sudden started noticing little box speakers on all the room walls.
Sam clears his throat and presses the white call button, "Hey guys, dinner's ready!"
Dean doesn't have to be told twice. He puts down all his papers and books and hurries towards the door, pulling Cas along behind him. Dean had been smelling the hamburgers through the vent in the floor for the last few minutes, and he was starved.
Amy tells Rory to go ahead with Arthur to the kitchen, she'll knock on the TARDIS door to tell the others. The door is open to allow wires through so Amy opens it fully and steps inside.
"Dinner's ready!" she yells up to the engrossed trio.
Charlie is the one that reacts first, "Oh thank God, I'm starving!"

Cas stands and clears the table of all the dirty dishes and starts washing up. Sam clears his throat as to make an announcement.
"So, Doctor, Arthur has this idea," Sam begins. "He suggested searching for weather patterns, but we can't do that thoroughly with our technology. Do you think you could do a search with your fancy space ship?"
"Of course I can!" the Doctor says smugly. Then, with a glance towards Charlie, he adds, "But with the help of my new friend here."
Charlie grins, "I will get right on that when we get back to the TARDIS!!"
After just a few more minutes of talking and relaxing, everyone reluctantly returns to do their research.

Due to the lack of sleep and how much Dean ate at lunch, he had started feeling his eyelids close as he read recent news articles online searching for signs of skin walkers.
Now, Dean feels a hand on his shoulder shaking him. His eyes fly open and he sits up. Cas is staring at him with wide, blue eyes.
"Dean! I've been listening to the Angels. I haven't been able to catch much, except a few words or broken sentences here and there," Cas explains. "But I have heard some things that might be of import. They did mention Thomas Holmes. I couldn't hear anything more, just his name."
"Okay, well, what else did you hear?" Dean asks eagerly.
Cas's face drops, "Dean . . . all these deaths by monsters? It's just the beginning. Thomas, or whoever it is that is doing this, they have something much bigger in mind."
Dean's brow furrows, "Do you have any idea what that might be? World domination for monsters? What?"
Cas draws in a deep breath, "The Angels said 'the world shall end in darkness'. That's all I heard. I have no idea what it means."
Dean nods slowly. How can it get worse than what it already is? What, next thing we know, the stars start disappearing?
"I don't know about stars, but that's very likely at this point," Cas replies.
