10:32 am

Steve, Nat and Sam were sat around a table in the briefing room. The laptop was opened to the prison article.
"Steve are you positive that's him? Are you sure that's Barnes?" Nat asked him, but the soldier did not respond.
"We're not gonna go and look for him again, are we?" Sam questioned. "Last time he ripped out my steering wheel. Dumbass."

"Listen, we get it, he's your best friend. But we have major problems to deal with right now."

Steve stood up from his seat and began pacing around the room.

"Steve..."

"Does it say where he is?"

Nat went on the computer, searching for Bucky's location. Steve was tense, and Sam looked at him in worry. He had a feeling that Steve was putting himself into trouble once again, and he didn't want anything to happen to his friend.

"It looks like he's in... Bucharest." Natasha leaned back in the chair and placed her hands on the table in stress.

"What's he doing in Romania?" Sam asked the redhead. "And how'd he get there so quickly?"

"I don't know," Steve responded. "But we need to get there fast."

"Why?"

"Because, if S.H.I.E.L.D get to him first, you know they'll kill him. I can't let that happen, Sam. I just can't."

"This just sounds like a suicide mission. We're fugitives, going after an ex-assassin, who is also being hunted down by an elite force with much more power and support than us." Sam said, trying to knock some sense into his friend.

"I'm going. You guys are either coming or staying. And if it's the latter, then stay out of my way." Steve marched out of the room. Nat and Sam looked at each other in worry and panic, but didn't say anything.

"He's crazy, right?" Sam began. " I mean, clearly he is. We went after Barnes before, and we almost got our asses kicked by the whole of H.Y.D.R.A in the process."

"I understand where you're coming from," Natasha stood up from her seat and walked over to stand in front of Sam. "But Bucky means a lot to Steve. Wouldn't you do the same for your best friend?"

After Nat spoke, Sam's eyes shot down to the floor. He began thinking about Riley, back when he was alive. Riley was everything to him, and the pain Sam felt when Riley died was life changing. Deep down, he didn't want Steve to experience that same kind of pain.

"You're right," he said. "I just don't want this to backfire on us."

"Then we'll be careful. And we'll protect each other." Nat reassured Sam. She too didn't want anything happening to Steve. He was part of her family, and one of the very few people she could open up to and trust. Her and Steve had developed a strong friendship over the years, up to the point where they would do anything to protect one another.

"Come on, lets join Steve."

Sam and Natasha found Steve on the back patio. Steve turned around to face his friends.

"We're here for you, Steve." Nat said, a smile crept on her face.

"Whatever it is, we'll support you. We're family." Sam added.

Steve smiled at the people opposite him. "Thank you," he said with a smile.

"Gear up."

Sam and Nat walked back into the house to get their gear together, while Steve stayed outside; he needed some fresh air to think about what on Earth he was going to do. The soldier slid his hand into his pocket and pulled out a phone. After staring at it for a while, he dialled a number. The phone was ringing, and he brought it up to his ear.

"Hello?" a woman's voice picked up.

"Hey," Steve began. "It's Steve. Rogers. I need some help, and I was hoping you would be up for it. I know I'm in no place to ask for favours, but I wouldn't call if I wasn't desperate and right now, you're one of the few people I can trust..."

"I'm here. Whatever you need."
