Chapter 22

- Grodd please let go of me...- said Caitlin

- Release Killer Frost.- I scream at her, but from her look it was impossible to do.

"I can't ... It's like I'm wearing handcuffs, but I don't have them," Caitlin said even more frightened.

- Grodd I know you're not like that ... Please drop her.

- What do you think you know about me? Don't pretend to worry about me because I know this isn't true. Said Grodd, moving closer to the portal.

"Cisco, we need the cure now," said the communicator.

"But we don't know if it works," Cisco answered in my ear.

"Barry..." Caitlin called closer and closer to the portal.

"We don't have time for that... We have to use it on Grodd or he'll take Caitlin with him. A few seconds later had the healing in my hand and was slowly advancing on Grodd so that he would not realize that I was going to attack him, as that would be worse for me and Caitlin.

- Shoot.- Caitlin shouted and I realized what she wanted, I hope it works. I threw the healing to Caitlin who caught and positioned herself to face Grodd and jabbed the healing into his shoulder causing him to move forward and dropped Caitlin to the floor.

"Sorry," Caitlin said to Grodd after stabbing the shoulder with his hand.

"Caitlin, are you okay?" I asked, running over to her.

"Just a little sore but it's okay," Caitlin replied smiling and I helped her to her feet.

"What did you do to me?" Asked a gentleman who only had a shirt on that was all the way up to his feet.

"Yes. What's your name?" Caitlin asked.

- David Sobolov.

"What's the last thing you remember?" I asked curiously.

- From being in S.T.A.R Labs... They experimented with me by becoming the monster I've been to this day. You're Caitlin right? Grodd was very fond of you. I think you were the only person he really liked and would never hurt.

- Yes, it's me ... We worked at S.T.A.R Labas, but now it's much better. The two scientists who were there in your time are no longer here... Harrison Wells is in jail in another dimension and the other has died. We have Harry Wells who is from another dimension, a very long story, but I want you to know that you are safe there.

After a request from me, Cisco opened a portal for the three of us to return to the lab for Caitlin to do some Grodd testing.

- Well it seems that everything is normal for now, your vital sinias are normal and your physical condition also seems within normal levels, so we can say that healing really works.- Caitlin said looking at his tablet where it brought the results from the various tests he did to David, or rather Grodd.

- Caitlin, once again I want to apologize if I hurt you ... It was never my intention.- Grodd said.

"You don't need to apologize, I know you weren't in you," she said smiling and walked away.

- Wait ... I know it's a lot to ask, but you think it would be possible if you came back to my house in the 3rd dimension.

- I fear that this is not possible today because we do not know how long the cure lasts, but let the 24 hours pass and then you can return home to your family. - Caitlin said smiling and Grodd thanked. and ours will stay in the cell, but if all goes as planned at this time tomorrow we will take you home.

The rest of our day was about how Grodd was feeling and it felt like everything was going for the best. When it was time for us to leave, we went and left some lights from the lab on because of Grodd.

"Do you think he'll keep this up in the morning?" Caitlin asked, concerned and curious.

- We have to keep hoping so. Today I prepare dinner, what do you want to eat?

"I don't know, surprise me," Caitlin said and went to her room to change clothes almost certainly.

I took the pots out of the cupboard and started preparing dinner, today I was going to make duck rice. As my mother had died very early, Joe taught me how to cook and let's say I'm not an expert but I get away with cooking except making desserts, which I don't really like.

While I was cooking, Caitlin came into the living room, sat on the couch, and watched a series called Criminal Minds, which is a series about several deaths by several serial offenders. An hour later the meal was ready so I called Caitlin to the table and put the rice on the table.

- It looks good .. And it smells great.- Caitlin said sitting at the table.

- I hope you like it.

Twenty minutes later we finished dinner and went to watch some television until it was time to go to sleep. We went to bed because tomorrow was a very complicated day. In the morning we woke up, got dressed, had breakfast and went to the lab.

- Good morning guys.- Caitlin and I said at the same time.
