Megs POV
I pushed my glasses further up my nose, and slumped down in my seat. I forgot how much I hate school. I hadn't been since 3rd grade, and I hadn't planned on going back. Buuuut here I am. I looked over to the seat next to mine where Lester sat, actually paying attention. Hah, loser. We were in Potions class, and the teacher was Professor Snape. I had heard Harry and the other two wizard guys telling the demigods from other houses that Snape favors Slytherin students. I began poking Lester over and over in the arm. First, he just moved his arm. Of course, that didn't really do anything. Then, he began to whisper, "Meg, stop it!" I kept going. Then, he said in his regular voice, "MEG!" If you know Lester, his regular voice is kinda...loud. Snape snapped his gaze over to us and glared at Lester, "Are you bothering my student?" he hissed. "N-n-no s-sir!" Lester stammered. "I think you were! 10 points from Gryffindor!" he yelled. All the Gryffindor glared at Lester and I, and I felt a grin spread across my face. Ahhh... I could get used to this.
We walked in a group to our next class. "Hey! Why did you purposely get Lester in trouble?" Ron asked me. Harry and Hermione looked at me, waiting for my answer. "What can I say? I'm a Slytherin." I said, walking faster. "Not all Slytherins are bad! Just look at Piper." Hermione said. I spun around, and glared at them. "Well, I am." I snapped before stomping ahead, dragging Lester behind me. "Hey! I was talking to Will" he said. "So? Talk to him later." I said. "I wanna talk to him NOW." Lester exclaimed. "Fine!" I said, crossing my arms and walking faster. Piper ran over to catch up with me. "Hey Meg.. what's wrong?" she asked. "Nothing." I lied.I knew Piper could read expressions better than... everyone, but she didn't press it. "So, how is it going with Draco?" I asked, desperate to change the subject. "Oh, he's pretty cute, and he seems to like me, but I don't know if I'm ready, ya know?" she said."Mmm hmm." I said. "Also, we probably won't even be here for long!" She said sighing. "I think you should go for it. It doesn't have to be serious, just for fun." I said, actually trying to be helpful. "Okay, I guess you're right. I need to just have some fun. I mean, I haven't had a date since I broke up with Jason." Piper said thoughtfully. She grinned at me. "Thanks Meg." she ran over to Annabeth. Probably too tell her the good news. I walked into the classroom, and claimed a seat for myself in the corner of the room. "Are you okay?" Nico asked me sitting down next to me. I scowled. "Yes. Why does everyone keep asking me that?" I huffed. "Um, because you look like you're trying not to cry." Will said from Nico's other side. I pouted. "I'm fine." I said. Nico shrugged. "Okay, but just remember, you can tell me anything okay?" he said giving me a small smile. I smiled back. "Okay. Thanks."
