"Um, I would like to have the..."

Zoe sat up straighter in her seat. Erica narrowed her eyes at me. Why was this so important to them? It is just a simple meal.

"T-that one dish." I finished nervously.

"Which one?" Asked Erica annoyed.

I licked my lips and bit my lip. "You know what, I am not hungry tonight. At all. Seriously. I'll...just have...um, water." I said sheepishly. I suddenly realized how dumb I sounded, and quickly continued, "I mean, water is plenty healthy and filling. It's really good. Like, delicious, pure and so cool and so er,—flavorful. Do you get me? I'll erm, just have a plate of water tonight..." I rambled on. I didn't even know what I was saying at this point. Mike tried to contain his laughter. Zoe and Erica didn't find it as amusing.

"Nuh uh, not funny. You're not going home until you pick." Said Zoe sternly.

"Would you like me to make you?" offered Erica.

"No, no, that won't be necessary." I said quickly.

I looked at the waiter, who was quite confused at this point. "I'll just have the..." Suddenly, I stopped in the middle of my sentence. I cocked my head sideways, listening carefully.

Zoe's face displayed an annoyed expression. She rolled her eyes, "Don't just stop in the middle of your sentence to build up suspense!"

"No, I'm not building suspense," I insisted, "Do you guys hear that?"

"Are you trying to change the topic?" Zoe asked suspiciously.

"I'm serious." I answered truthfully, "Listen, everybody."

We all concentrated and listened. It was faint, but it was there all right. The sound of jingling metal and footsteps. Bullets. People. Those two don't go very well together. The heavy footsteps were pounding on the stairs. They should've took the elevator. Would've been much quicker and quieter. Erica and Catherine shot up from their seats, as they realized immediately what I was talking about. Alexander copied them, trying to do the same even though his legs got caught on his chair. This caused him to tip backwards and slam his head on the ground. He sat up on the floor, dazed and shaking his head.

"Hey look! I see stars," he said dreamily.

"Children, we've caught ourselves in quite the pickle," Catherine said calmly as if she just told us the weather was nice today. "Orion, could you kindly help Alexander up?" She asked. Orion helped Alexander on his feet and started towards the door.

"We can't go that way, that's where the enemy is coming from." Erica stated matter-of-factly.

Alexander pointed to the ceiling. "Hey look, that's the Big Dipper!" He claimed excitedly grabbing at the air. "It's full of soup too!" We all ignored him as everyone in the restaurant shot him looks. Catherine took advantage of this.

"Everyone, evacuate the restaurant!" Catherine declared at everyone. No one took her seriously, with her delightful and sweet voice.

"Now, or you'll regret it!" yelled Erica. That got them moving. We stuffed everyone in the elevator. It was so tight, we couldn't have gotten another piece of paper to fit. One old lady complained about not being able to bring her coat. I peered in. There was no room for us. Not even one of us. As we watched the elevator door close and head down, Zoe spoke up first.

"How are we going to get out then?" Asked Zoe worriedly.

"Yeah, we're on the fifteenth floor. And there is no way we can take the elevator now." Added Mike.

I looked at Erica in bewilderment, "Do want us all to die here?" I asked starting to panic. Erica gave me a disapproving look as if she couldn't tell if I was joking or not. She finally decided to give me a hint.

"Ben, we've just defeated SPYDER..." Erica said.

"So...?" I asked confused not putting the pieces together. Erica gave me a look that told me to think harder. Then it hit me. "Wait!" I exclaimed, "If we've already defeated SPYDER, who are these people coming after us right now?"

Erica nodded. "That's for us to find out...right now." She said as the door was kicked opened and people barged in.
