Riding a motorcycle felt like being on a roller coaster, with Sebastian being my safety gear. Every turn had me shrieking and holding tighter onto Sebastian. I didn't dare opening my eyes from the fear of letting go and falling from fright. When I felt us coming to a complete stop, I opened my eyes. He got off first, then helped me off, before taking the helmet off of me. Looking around I realized he had taken me to the palace.

A small knot formed in the middle of my stomach, this wasn't the best place for him to bring me to. If his parents saw me they'd think we are seeing each other or worse, they'll take it as me agreeing to marry him.

"Why are we here?" I asked him confused. "I thought we were going to out run the police and you would take me to Helen's house,"

"I was going to do that, however, you have a tight grip and breathing was becoming a struggle. I came here to grab my car,"

"Sorry," I frowned, feeling my cheeks beginning to burn up. "I was scared,"

"Don't worry about it. Do you mind if we go inside, I need to change clothes. I reek of alcohol,"

If he hadn't gotten into an altercation he wouldn't need to change. I didn't have to get involved and I did. This whole thing was already awkward and the sooner I am away from him, the better I will feel.

"I rather have you take me home, now," I said sternly.

He rolled his eyes, "this isn't a plan to lure you in, I don't get special treatment from law enforcement if I get pulled over. You've had a few drinks and so did I, so we would get thrown into jail, and sweetheart you would be fine meat for—"

"Shut up, fine. You can change. I'll wait for you here," I said leaning against the car.

"Yeah, no, not going to happen," and he grabbed my hand. "You get caught by security you'll get tased,"

I laughed dryly, "good one,"

He turned to look at me with a serious look, "I wish I was, but the last girl I brought here will tell you otherwise,"

I tried to stare him down and figure out if he was lying. Then the face of the tall masculine guy who hangs around Sophia came to mind— he meant business. I can imagine getting tackled to the floor and getting tased. It sounded quite painful. If all his security looks anything near that guy, I'm better off with Sebastian.

I didn't say anything and let Sebastian lead me inside the palace. For some reason, I felt like a intruder here, maybe because it wasn't a good thing for me to be here without his parents consent. Thinking about it, was this consider sneaking in to a guy's place? I had never done anything like this before. I thought the thrill would be satisfying but I found myself being terrified.

Sebastian and I walked around long hallways and it made it difficult for me to keep up. We had to be going in circles, each hallway looked the same. Suddenly, we stopped in front of a brown door, and he opened it. His rooms was clean for a guy; in the movies the guys' have clothes all over the place, making the floor near impossible to see. Sebastian room was spotless clean. His king size bed was perfectly made, the marble floors were so clean I could see my reflection, and his room smelled like his cologne.

"You can sit on the bed. I won't be too long," he said, making his way into the bathroom. I took his offer and sat on the edge of his bed and waited patiently for him to come out. My phone kept vibrating so I took the few minutes to respond to Helen, they had made it safely to her house.

I placed my phone back into my handbag and turned to look towards the slight crack through the door. The mirror reflected Sebastian back and I noticed the tattoos covering his back. Did he always have tattoos? Like I mentioned before, I hadn't paid attention to the him. I wasn't on the same hype train like every girl in school—I didn't want a piece of Sebastian Cortez. However, the tattoos roaming his back made me curious as to why someone with a title would have them. Didn't they have a rule about it or something?

He placed a black shirt and I quickly looked away before he realized I was staring. The door opened with him coming out with a hoodie in his hand.

"It's chilly outside, wear it," he handed me the hoodie and I gladly took it.

"Thanks,"

"Did you find out if your friends made it home?" He asked while reaching inside the drawer next to his bed.

"Yeah, they're home now," I replied. I placed my satchel on the bed and threw the hoodie over my head.

"Okay, let's go before Officer Ron does his nightly walk around,"

"Who is Officer Ron?" I asked him as we stepped out his room.

"Title wise, he's my personal assistant. Personal wise, he keeps me out of trouble and helps me be a proper Prince,"

Did that mean Officer Sophia was someone's personal assistant? Or did she work underneath Officer Ron?

"Is Officer Sophia a backup in case Officer Ron is sick?"

He chuckled quietly, "no, she is meant to be..." he frowned. "...she was suppose to be the next Princess's Officer,"

He got quiet after that probably because he remembered Officer Sophia was meant to help Madison. I still felt bad for being brought into his personal life. It's not a great feeling to have everyone constantly invading your privacy, especially telling others around you.

"I'm sorry about Madison..." I spoke out.

He turned to look at me and shook his head, "why are you apologizing?" He asked me. "it's a price I pay as a Prince. Not everyone is made for this life,"

"I agree, but she wasn't just anyone. You trusted her enough to make her a Princess. It must have hurt when she said no,"

"Yeah. If she had said yes, you would not be here right now," he smirked.

"Nope. You and I would have never crossed paths. Nor would you parents be trying to force me to marry you,"

He opened the door for me and waited for me to get in before walking over to the driver's side. "Can we blame Madison for that?" He laughed, trying his best to hide the pain in his voice.

"Maybe you can try to convince her to marry you? What if she freaked out and said 'no'?"

"She denied my proposal because she wants to follow her dreams. I can not force anyone to marry me when they have no idea how life is in this palace. I thought Madison was strong enough to overcome every obstacle possible with me,"

"I have never fallen in love with anyone," I burst out. He snapped his head to give me a shock look. "...so I don't know how it feels to have someone walk out on you. I have enough common sense to know at eighteen, no one who you date is certain. I guess when your are a Royal, you don't have a chance to wait around though?"

"Hold up, you have never dated anyone?"

I was trying to make him feel better about his rejection and all he captured was my lonely life? I furrowed my eyebrows and nodded.

"Never, haven't been kissed either," why was I being this honest with him? Helen and Candace were the only ones who knew I hadn't had a boyfriend.

"You are pure then?" He raised a brow. I punched him in the arm. "Ow!"

"You don't fucking ask that to a girl!" I snapped.

"Sorry," he muttered. "Anyway, to answer your question, no, life isn't the same in the palace. I can't wait around until the right one comes around,"

"Does that mean I will have to marry you?" I felt my stomach turn again.

"No, I will try to come up with something so you don't have to marry me," he smiled kindly.

For some reason, the way he said that made me sad. It wasn't like I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him, however he didn't deserve to be force to marry someone he doesn't love. Especially with how fresh his break-up is.

"You don't know where you are going, do you?" I giggled as I realized we had been driving in circles.

"No," he laughed.
