His lips on mine just might be the best feeling ever. After a few seconds he got up and laid beside me.

"So," I trailed off.

"So," He copied. Neither of us could wipe the smile off our faces.

"What does this make us?" I asked, looking over to him. He turned to face me and propped his head up on elbow.

"Geez, I don't know. Whatever you want," He uttered, his eyes darting all over my face.

"I mean, this is our second time going through this," I chuckled and he nodded along.

"So you're implying we should skip all the cheesy dates?" He asked after a few seconds.

I shrugged, "Sure, why not?"

"Alrighty, well then, I guess it'd be a good time to give you this back," He remarked and reached into his back pocket, pulling out the old promise ring he gave me.

I grinned and accepted it, sliding it back into my ring finger, "Oh, I remember this."

"And you're putting it back on right now?" He smiled and tilted his head in confusion.

"I mean, if that's okay with yo-" He cut me off.

"No, no, no! It's fine. I-I would love for you to wear it again. Does that mean what I think it means?" He questioned.

"What do you think it means?" We were both clearly anxious and unsure of each other's ideas.

"That you wearing it implies neither of us are single anymore." He uttered quietly, but I still heard him.

"That's what I thought too." I mumbled. His eyes looked up immediately and met mine grinning.

"Paparazzi is off in the distance to our left. We're definitely getting snitched on," He said, pecking my lips.

"We should beat them too it," I smiled devilishly and grabbed my phone. He stopped me and grabbed my arm.

"Are you sure?" He pondered.

"I am, are you?" I retorted.

"Sure. I won't be happy if my fans are angry, though. It's like, why be my fan if you can't accept my happiness," He whispered the last part to himself, making my heart ache.

Celebrity heartthrobs go through so much shit like this, and usually they're just sweet guys who don't deserve it.

"I'm sorry about that, but I can handle it. Don't worry," I squeeze his hand before looking at old pics of Tom and posting one.
