The only part about The Notebook I completely forgot about was the sex scene. I skipped through it but the sexual tension in the air was so thick it could be cut with a knife.
"I'm gonna go refill the popcorn," I made an excuse and he nodded, kissing my temple before I got up and tiptoed upstairs.
I was waiting for the microwave to finish popping, when Robert strolled into the room.
"Hey Blaze," He greeted and pulled out some almonds to snack on. He does love a good midnight snack.
"Hi dad," I smiled, giving him a hug.
"So how's Mr. Holland for round two?" He said, making me nearly choke on air.
I caught myself and looked up to him from the hug.
"Good? You know how awesome he is," I said and he grinned.
"Young love, amiright?" He teased.
I pushed him jokingly and took the popcorn out, "You're just mad cause you're not in the next Spiderman."
He acted all offended, "Or maybe I'm just pointing out that sooner rather than later you're gonna have a ring on that finger! You're only in Malibu for another two weeks before you're off to Prague," He giggles like a child and skipped off, making me chuckle.
I thought to myself, realizing he did get married when he was 27. I was going to be 27 in 5 years, so I had a lot of time.
I walked downstairs and saw Tom fully entranced in the movie, his eyes reflecting the screen in front of him.
"You're into it, huh?" I asked and sat down with the bowl of popcorn.
"They're so in love," He trailed off, only breaking contact with the screen for a second to gaze at my arrival.
"Yeah," I sighed, nuzzling into his side. He peaked over and seemed surprised and comforted by my sudden act of cuddling, but went with it nonetheless.
Before I knew it we were tangled in our own little bow tie of a cuddle, but both of us were fine it. I couldn't help but fall sleep to the warmth and comfort of Tom's body, and The Notebook playing in the background.
I woke up in the same exact position I was in the night before, except it was evident someone (probably Susan) had come down and cleaned up a bit.
I stretched out a little bit and Tom seemed to do the same thing.
"Morning neighbor," I mumbled and rubbed my eyes, sitting up slowly.
"Hey Bella...this is new," He gestured to us sleeping together.
I nodded and gave a tiny grin, "Yeah, I like it."
"Me too," He agreed, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me back into a laying position.
I grinned but he couldn't see it since my head face planted into his chest. His black t-shirt was soft, and everything about this moment was pulled out of a fairytale.
"You know, I have a thought," I suggested and pulled myself out of his grip slightly to face him.
His eyes met mine and he hummed in a questionable tone, "hmm?"
"You already filmed the sequel to Infinity War, care to spill any beans?" I teased. My dad never let me come on set like he did with the Iron Man trilogy.
In fact, he never let me come on set for the big Avengers movie. He liked having me go into the theatre with no knowledge of what was to come so I could give him an honest review.
