Gambling With The House

We entered Saes Palace again, we were now ready to push further into the casino and carve out a path to the treasure, we had to win, this was our final chance to truly do some good for society, and I had to do this for Makotos sake, I didn't want her here longer than she had to be.

"Is everyone ready?" Crow asked.

"Depends if you are." I said to him.

"Of course, I'm always ready to serve justice."

We all stood up and followed Joker out of the safe room and fought our way through the casino and it's stupid rigged games. Crow was good at fighting but I didn't trust him as far as I could throw him, and that would be pretty far.

"Now what do we do with this giant slot machine." Panther asked.

"There's probably a terminal around here somewhere." Oracle answered.

I was absolutely sick of these fucking games, I walked over to the machine, morphed my arms into claws and ripped a hole through the damn thing, but that was a bad move, I immediately got crushed under the weight of all the coins that fell out.

"Mercer!" I heard Haru and Makoto shout out as the coins piled on top of me.

When I felt the coins stop falling I pushed up and got myself out of the pile.

"You alright man?" Ryuji asked.

I took a moment to respond as I caught my breath. "That sucked."

"Well maybe that will teach you to not act so brash." Crow said to me with a smug tone in his voice.

I looked into his eyes, he must've been able to tell from the look on my face that I was not amused.

"Well shall we continue on?" He quickly asked before turning around and walking off.

We all walked back to the desk and handed in our coins and got our membership pass to the next floor.

We arrived at the next floor and was immediately asked if we had a reservation, when we replied with no we were told we could not enter until we had a reservation.

"Apparently we need a reservation." Crow said.

"No shit." I told him as I folded my arms across my chest.

"It seems we have to change her cognition about the courthouse." Morgana said as he stepped forward.

"Cognition, I don't understand." Crow said.

Morgana explained what changing the persons cognition in the real world would do to their Palace to Crow.

"So if this is the courthouse then we need to have Sae-san see us in a courtroom?" Panther asked.

"That would be my guess." Joker said.

"But how do we do that?" Fox asked.

"I believe I can help with that." Crow told us as he held his hand up to this chest.

"How?" Noir asked.

"There is a trial on in the courthouse tomorrow after school and Sae-san is meant to be the plaintiff." (No idea if that is right)

"Can you get us into the courtroom?" Oracle asked.

"I should be able to help with our little problem." 

"Then it's all set, we shall head back and meet at the courthouse tomorrow afternoon then come straight back in here immediately after." Queen said.

We all agreed with her and we exited the Palace, Makoto and I went back to our hotel which I was paying for with the leftover money from the yakuza drug deals I crashed ages ago now.
