Wake Up

*Akira POV*

After being woken up in the velvet room so much was dropped on top of me, I found out that the twins were actually one person who was split apart by the fake Igor. He offered me a choice, he offered to return the world to how it was before Shido and the Phantom Thieves would regain popularity. I declined and he disappeared so the real Igor returned, he and Lavenza explained to me how I had been manipulated since March by the evil entity, but I was now free to undo everything that it had done. I then went around and found all my teammates and convinced them to join back up and finish this one last fight, Morgana had returned to us and we were getting ready leave when Makoto stopped and noticed someone was missing.

"Where is Y/N?" She asked.

Igor simply chuckled and Lavenza took a step forward.

"He is in the process of truly awakening to his immense power." She told us.

"But I thought he already had awakened to his persona?" Ann asked.

"He never had a persona to begin with."

"But how could that be, we saw him use it?" Haru asked.

"The truth is that unlike you all, Satan was not chained to him, Satan was merely drawn to his exceptional power."

"So will Y/N ever have a persona?" Ryuji asked.

"The truth is that as he is the one with a foot in both worlds, he cannot have a persona as his power is the manifestation of his rebellious spirit."

"So Y/N has the potential to be the strongest metaverse user?" Yusuke asked.

"That is correct."

"Well can we see him?" Ryuji asked.

"To do so would mean halting the awakening which means he is not at his maximum strength, and you all have a mission to complete." Igor told us.

"We won't leave here without him." I said back.

Igor took a moment to look at us then sighed as he snapped his fingers and a bright flashed happened above us. We looked up and saw Y/N chained to the ceiling, his eyes were closed and his veins were pulsating and glowing red.

"If he is awakened now he will not be fully ready for the upcoming battle, there is a possibility he will succumb to the raw power of the god." Igor told us.

We all stood there for a few moments and talked till we came to our decision.

"Release him." I told Igor.

"That decision is not yours to make." Lavenza told me.

"Then why don't you decide to release him?" Ryuji asked.

"The decision is not ours to make either."

"Then who gets to make the decision?" Oracle asked.

"The Priestess." Igor told us.

"Priestess?" Haru asked.

*Makoto POV*

I took in a breath and stepped forward.

"It's me, the decision is mine to make." I told them all.

"Makoto?" Ann asked.

"After we went home the afternoon of Akechis funeral Y/N told me he had a strange feeling that things were not quite over for us yet, he told me that he felt like a choice would have to be made about him soon but he didn't know for sure." I told everyone.

"He has always been able to sense when something was coming." Lavenza told us.

"He was scared about what this decision could mean for me, even though it would affect him the most, he was still worried about me." I took in a shaky breath. "I offered to make the decision when the time came, but I didn't think it could lead to all this."
