Her beautiful face paled after hearing my words. She had tears in the corner of her eyes which could fall any second. Yet, she kept her posture strong. She nodded my way and strolled towards the exit of the corridor.
I've lied so many times in my life. Lied to my mother of being sick just so I could skip a school day. Lied to my teacher about my grandfather's death when I couldn't complete my homework since I was out at Arcade with friends. Never in my life it hurt so bad at lying to someone.
Someone so precious to me. Someone I could die for. Someone who is the core of my happiness. Someone I've wanted to make mine for so long but I just couldn't, due to consequences.
Life can be so unfair at times that sometimes I wonder the reason of its existence. My reason of existence was her, is her and it will always be her yet I hurt her. I hated to hurt her. I hated to lie to her. It was my fault to lead her on when I knew we won't be able to be together. Nevertheless, I did what I did and now I had to face the consequences.
