Lisa heard Jennie took a deep breath, looking at Lisa as if amused. She sat comfortably on Lisa's couch, it reminded her of her cat Luca that Irene took when they broke up, leaving her with the always grumpy Leo.
Irene. Lisa thought of her. She was not ready to talk to anyone after the break-up three months ago but here she was, sitting alongside a stranger named Jennie Kim that also happened to be her girlfriend. Although the talking was more on Jennie's side, Lisa was annoyed nonetheless. The black-haired girl spent the night on Lisa's apartment, sleeping on the couch when she refused to leave even when Lisa was literally dragging her out. It was almost 4 am when Lisa gave up and went to her room. She woke up earlier this morning and found Jennie curled up on the couch, shivering in cold as she slept. Lisa didn't know if she should feel bad for the girl or glad because that was what she deserved after invading Lisa's privacy.
"Are you always blonde?" Jennie asked as she leaned closer towards Lisa and stroke a part of her blonde hair.
Lisa stared at the other girl, contemplating when will she get rid of this annoying girl and live her life at peace.
"No." Lisa answered uninterested, scrolling through her phone. She was looking online for some reviews or anything about this silly program doctor Jisoo got her in. But again, she found none.
"When did you start dying your hair blonde?" Jennie asked again that made Lisa roll her eyes. Truth was, Lisa wasn't blonde three months ago but the loss of the love of her life made her do choices including cutting her hair short and turning her hair blonde. If only the hairdresser did not talk her out of it, Lisa probably had a pixie cut now. Heartbreak made you do things to your hair.
"Well, it suits you." Jennie shrugged when she got no response from her girlfriend.
Lisa discreetly looked at Jennie who was still wearing the same clothes from yesterday. She kinda felt bad that the girl slept in her tight jeans but Lisa also thought that she was kinda dumb, because if she knew she would stay the night in Lisa's apartment then why the hell she didn't bring any clothes with her. Not that Lisa wanted Jennie to bring all her clothes, but wasn't that common sense? Unless she expected Lisa to let her borrow clothes.
To be honest, Lisa was really curious about this girl in front of her. In fact she had been thinking about her last night. Jennie Kim didn't look like she needed money to do this odd job, she looked like rich and sophisticated that Lisa knew if she met her in a different way, Jennie could pass as her ideal type of girl. Another thought occurred to Lisa that Jennie might be a doctor too, but she didn't have the usual aura most doctors have.
The manual didn't say much about Jennie, not that she read all the 150 pages of the book, but she had skimmed enough for her to know that it was useless and a waste of time. The only things that got her attention were the pages that discussed the rules and regulation of this whole girlfriend therapy thing but Lisa wasn't in the mood to fully read and understood what it said.
"Why are you staring at me?" Lisa got out of her thoughts when she realized that Jennie was staring back at her. She immediately focused her gaze elsewhere.
"I am not." She defensively tells her.
"Sure you are."
The day went on like that. Lisa searching online, finding ways how to get rid of the girl, calling doctor Jisoo, her clinic, and Chaeyoung who defensively told her that she was not part of the whole program and emphasizing that she did not sign Lisa up for anything. Of course, Lisa found it hard to believe her step-sister especially when Chaeng's usually calm voice became high as if she was squealing and immediately hanged up the phone because she needs to take care of her fish. What a lame excuse even for Park Chaeyoung, and Lisa reminded herself to be pissed at her when she sees her on Tuesday.
