I never thought that one day I'll also pray to live like everyone else. In my whole life I've lived like a living corpse. Though I was breathing but I wasn't alive. All I used to think, "When will my time end?" But now that thought has changed. Now...
"You can put me down now, it's embarrassing for a boy to ride on a girl's back. "
Hearing that Sarah became surprised as she stopped.
Then she put down Richard but she didn't show her face to him. She felt too guilty to do so.
"I'm sorry.....it's all my fault. Because of me you .....you almost died.....it's all because of me."
Even though Richard didn't see her face, he could tell, she was crying. Her voice was full of guilt.
But seeing how she is faceing her guilt and the consequences of their wrongdoings by herself, he couldn't say anything to her.
He knew that the incident wasn't totally her fault.....cause the whole time she was with him.....so she couldn't have the time to say anything about his fear to her friends. She didn't even try to make any excuses or escape. Instead just because she was a part of the incident she was ready to bear all the consequence.
So Richard couldn't became angry with her.
"I'm cold...." Hearing Richard say that Sarah was shocked for a moment.
"Hah!!!......oh, right .... I should go and try to make a fire."
Then Sarah gathered some dry woods and made fire.
But still Richard was shivering for cold. "You are still shivering.....oh .....you are still wearing wet clothes....hurry take them off."
"What!!!! What are you saying? I don't need to.."
"If you don't then you'll catch a cold. " saying that Sarah came closer to Richard and tried to take off his clothes.
"Hey, what are you doing? Stop it "
"Take off your clothes, you have to......"
"No..no...go away.."
"Look you are already turning red....maybe you are having a fever...take your clothes off."
"I'm not turning red because of fever.....what kind you girl are you ? How can you doing such things to a boy?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Ok ok...I'll take them off....just look away and don't look this way..."
"Seriously.....you are feeling shy? You are just like a girl....afraid of insects and now feeling shy to take of your clothes."
"I'm not feeling shy...."
"Ok ok...I'll turn away, " saying that Sarah turned away.
Then Richard took off his top but suddenly Sarah turned saying.... "When you feel better tell me...cause we have to get back before sun.......set."
She saw Richard's body full of scars and bruised. They looked like from being beaten by someone.
"I thought I told you not to look this way...."
"What happened to your body? Did you get hurt when you fell in the stream."
"It's nothing..."
"It looks like you were beaten by someone......were you being beaten by......"
"I told you it's nothing, didn't I. Now stop questioning. "
"I'm sorry.....maybe I should get more leaves for the fire," saying that Sarah went away.
After sometime Sarah came back with more leaves.
"I think it should be enough leaves for the fire, isn't it?"
"It was my mom....the scars....they are because of my mother. "
