Life's Downfall (a Loki story)

Chapter 11

~I know, I know I'm horrible! I'm SOOO sorry for not updating!! things have been pretty hectic lately and I had writers block and...ok enough with the excuses, lets go on with the story! Enjoy!! <3~

(Allena's P.O.V)

We had finally landed just outside the building where we suspected Loki was holding Athena captive in, and Steve stood up and took my hand as we prepared to get out of the jet.

"Ok everyone, move out!" Fury yelled into his earpiece as he stood up and started to walk out of the jet and onto the pavement outside when it started to grow misty and the sky darkened.

"Oh great, just what we need. Rain." Steve said groaning as he looked up at the sky.

"Well, at least it fits the scene." I said miserably as I looked over at the big, gray, gloomy building in front of us. I could see everyone one else getting out of their jets, and Tony coming down and landing near us.

"Ugh come on Steve we might as well follow everyone else." I said grudgingly as I kept ahold of his hand and stated pulling him out of the jet.

"Are we even sure he's here?" Steve asked as we walked onto the cold, black pavement.

"We're not sure Cap, but it seems like the most likely place for Loki to hide her. We should at least check it out." Natasha said coming up behind us and looking towards the warehouse.

"You two will be in charge of searching the bottom floor." she said as we approached the door, "that shouldn't be a problem though seeing as you guys are already so comfortable with each other." Natasha finished smirking at our entwined hands.

Steve and I blushed and pulled our hands apart.

"We weren't-I mean-we" I stuttered as

I looked at my feet still blushing.

"Uh huh, save it," Natasha said smirking as she held up a hand to stop me, then her face sobered quickly, "just remember that this is a life-or-death mission, not a joy ride."

That sobered us up quickly.

"Yes of course, Natasha," I said straightening up and looking her in the eye. Gosh, I hope Athena's ok, will we ever find her? I thought to myself as a tear slid down my face.

"Hey, hey don't cry!" Steve said as he noticed the tears sliding down my face and reached out to softly wipe them away, "we'll find her don't you worry."

I managed to give him a small, shaky smile.

"I sure hope so Steve." I managed to say.

(Ellahs P.O.V)

As I walked towards the building with Serena by my side, I turned around and spotted Allena walking hand-in-hand with Steve.

It's about time she found someone to like, I thought as I smiled at the sight of them. But suddenly my thoughts were interrupted as 'The Man of Iron', as Thor calls him, landed next to me and lifted up his face mask.

"Hey, so I guess old Capsicle over there has found himself a girl." He said as he gestured over towards Steve and Allena.

I nodded smiling, "Yes it seems so, my sister looks very happy as well. I thought she would never find the right man in Asgard, who knew she had to come down to Earth to actually find him."

"And I suppose there are many attractive men on Asgard?" He questioned looking at me intently.

"Oh yes of course! So many you can't keep track of them all! There are way more there then here." I said teasingly.

"Hey! I happen to know a lot of good-looking men here! Including myself!" He exclaimed in mock insult.

I giggled "Oh my yes, aren't you the strapping one? So covered in armour that I can barely even see your face! We defiantly don't have anyone like you back home."

"Of course you don't, I'm one of a kind!" he said proudly," and many ladies happen to love my armour thank you very much!"

I chuckled and turned back towards the building as we reached the front door. Hmm maybe Allena won't be the only one to find the right man here.
