Chapter 9

~Ok first I want to thank everyone who has read, commented, and voted on my story! It really means so much guys and second I want to let you all know that in this story Phil Coulson is not dead he just doesn't show up until later on in the book. Ok I'm done now, thx again everyone!~

(Steve's P.O.V)

"Please just call me Steve" I said as I stared at her yet again, I couldn't help it she was just so beautiful with her slightly tanned skin, golden hair, and blue eyes she was as beautiful as a goddess. She is a goddess Steve you dimwit I thought smacking myself in the head.

"Steve? Are you alright? You just smacked yourself in the head." Allena inquired looking at me with concern

"Oh um ya, just remember that I uh left my....helmet back at the base"

I said embarrassed as I fumbled for an excuse.

"Haha no you didn't, its right here." she said chuckling as she reached over and held up my helmet which was sitting on the bench right beside me.

"Oh oops, guess I wasn't paying attention. Thank you Allena." I said blushing as I reached over and gently took my helmet from her hand and as my hand grabbed it our fingers brushed the slightest bit and I blushed, yet again.

"It's quite alright Steve" she said with an amused look. I just smiled back at her.

"Alright lovebirds, break it up we're almost there." Natasha said looking back and motioning for us to come over."See there's the building Loki should be hiding in."

She said pointing to a building which was about 5min ahead of us."Ok looks good." I said looking at the building, it was quite new from what I could see but was quite plain with just grey on the walls and a few windows here and there. "Wow Loki can really choose a place, can't he? Just always go for the creepiest, drabbest building there is." I finished with sarcasm dripping from my words.

"Well, this is Loki we're talking about." Allena said coming to stand beside me at the window.

"You have a point." I said half to her half to myself.

"Alright everyone, get ready we're about 5 minutes out!" Nick Fury said over his earpiece to the rest of the avengers. "Stark! What do you see?"

"Not much Nick, just a couple civilians here and there, there's not really a lot of activity here at all, that's not like Loki at all." We could just barely hear Stark over the com.

"He's right guys,Loki has and always will wanted a big show, not just a drab, boring building. What if we're wrong and he's just trying to set us up by making us think that he's here? This could all be a trap." I said nervously

"We'll just have to risk it Steve, we have to find Athena and Loki." Allena cut in before Natasha could say anything, looking at me with pleading eyes, "Please."

At that Natasha turned around and looked at us. "I think you should listen to her Cap, she seems to know what's she's talking about." she said nodding at Allena.

"Ok fine, we'll keep going but if anything happens don't say I didn't warn you." I said reluctantly

"Good, Captain, open the hatch!" Natasha shouted as we neared the building. I reached over and flicked a switch on the wall and the back of the jet opened up. Oh man I hope this isn't a trap.

(Athena's P.O.V)

"I'm sorry Loki, I didn't mean it." I said putting a hand on his shoulder.

"It is alright Athena, you are right." Loki said backing away from me and letting my hand fall from his shoulder as he still wouldn't meet my eyes.

"No Loki I'm not, it was wrong of me to say that, I truly am sorry." I said looking down feeling ashamed of my self.

"Athena,leave it. We shall not speak of this to anyone." Loki said harshly as he suddenly met my eyes, and just stood there, staring into my eyes.

Suddenly he snapped out of it.
