I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock buzzing like a maniac. I reached up and swatted it, making it drop to the floor. I sat up arms stretched and hair like a tumble weed. I lift the covers up and jumped out of bed. The bathroom sounded like a good place to start. i started off by brushing my teeth and a quick bathroom break. i ran a brush through my long curly hair and let it hang in front of my shoulders down the middle of my back. i sprinted down the stairs to the kitchen as my stomach starts to grumble. i see my mom surprisingly up and making breakfast.
"hey, good morning." as she embraces me into a hug.
"I'm making waffles if you want any?"
"ummm, sure..three please?"
"ok coming right up."she seemed cheerful this morning. i mean its not completely unusual it's just that i don't see her up before me very often. i scan the table for a seat that doesn't have milk spills in front of it on the table. i find a partially clean spot and wait patiently for breakfast.
"so do you know what your going to wear to Morgan's graduation party?" she sounded very curious.
"umm i mean yeah I've had the outfit sitting out for like two weeks now."
"oh yeah thats right. is it appropriate?"
"yeah. I'm not wearing a dress or anything."
"oh ok just checking to make sure you look decent. because there are going to be boys there."
"yeah i know thats why i made sure the outfit was cute."
"haha oh ok."she then handed me my waffles and started to gobble them down. it took me about 20 minutes to get down those waffles. I ran up to the bathroom after thanking my mom for the delicious waffles to brush my teeth once again. The graduation was at five o'clock tonight and it was only ten. i promised my best friend that i would pick her up to go to the mall for last minute shopping for tonight. i pull on some black detailed tights/stockings...what ever people call them these days. i slipped on some shorts over them. then grabbed a short sleeved white shirt and a flannel. lastly put on some combat boots and put a black bandana into a cute bow over my hair thats down. i ran to the bathroom again to apply little to none makeup.its late summer and I've been going for this hipster look, thankfully i graduated high school this year. I've been going to college to become a Vet Tech. This will be my second year in college coming up. i quickly grabbed my phone to txt my befriend.(whose named Kennedy btw.)
"hey are you ready?-A"
"umm..yeah? aren't we a little early to go to the mall-K"
"Well no..it takes me about forty-five minutes to get to your house and to get to the mall twenty-five...its ten o'clock right now I'm pretty sure the mall will be open by then..(p.s opens at eleven:))-A"
"ha lol ok ill be ready when you get here-K"
"liar.-A
i grabbed my purse and car keys from off my desk and then ran down stairs."hey mom? I'm leaving to go to pick up Kennedy...then go to the mall."
"wait i thought u were just gonna go over her house and hang out."
"well that was the plan at first but then she wanted to go to the mall and get some last minute clothes then id go over her house so we could hang and get dress then id bring her back over here so i could change."
"why cant you just wear that to the party?"
"I'm thinking about it but I'm letting you know now that if i see anyone at the mall i know I'm coming right back here and changing okay?"
"ok fine..bye love you."
"bye love you."
right when i open the door my little sister comes running down the stairs.
"hey can you take me to the mall with you?"
"ha umm no..remember when i asked you yesterday if you wanted to come and you basically insulted my intelligence on the situation?"
"please i need to get new shorts!"
"well do you have any money, because i am not buying you anything."there was a long silence. and with that she ran back in her room. i always give in to her pouting but this time I'm not. i turned back around and walked out the door. i jumped into my black jeep which took my parents a lot of convincing to buy me for a first car. i plug in my phone to the stereo and started my playlist. I'm not one of the idiotic teenagers who just have to text and drive while at the same time risking their ives just to text in the words "lol" or "ok". i pull up to Kennedy's house with five minutes to spare. i honk the horn and here comes Kennedy in her infamous high wasted shorts (which we are coincidently matching in and that i picked out with an amazing good price). But what i was surprised to see was my other two cousins ploying through the door.
