Vanity's POV
It's been a week since I've been shot and let's just say I've never been more bored in my life. I've been in this hospital for a week now and all there is to do is watch old 80's movies on the television or play Candy Crush on my phone. The boys visit everyday and let me know how everything's doing. Unfortunately they went on an away game 2 days ago to play 3 games with the Milwaukee Brewers. They're coming back tomorrow which makes me excited. I miss them. I miss my Cody. He FaceTimes me literally before and after every game. Dr. Grey said I could be discharged in 2 days. My parents left yesterday which was both a relief and a bit depressing. Cody says my fathers warmed up to him but I don't believe him, he's probably saying that so I don't worry. And as for my job well turns out I'm not getting fired but that just means all of this could have been avoided if I just stayed home. The day I woke up the police came to ask me questions, they asked me if I had any suspicions as to who it was. Stefan Salvatore... he was my first suspect. After the questions they said they'd contact me if they had any new information. So now here I am sitting in this bed doing absolutely nothing. Oh shoot did Corey call Kyle and Justin?! Let's find out. Grabbing my phone I dial Justin first and on the second ring he answers.
"Hey baby sis! What's up?"
"Hey J, so um have you gotten any calls from mom or dad or Corey?"
"Umm no why? Is everything okay?"
"Everything's okay now it's just that uh well I was kinda shot about a week ago"
"WHAT?! WHAT THE HELL VANITY WHY HASN'T ANYONE TOLD ME?!"
"Can you stop screaming?! Now it feels like my eardrums been shot. Look I wasn't sure if you knew I just thought Corey or mom would have told you. I'm sorry J but everything's okay now I'm still in the hospital but I'm going to be discharged in two days so like I said everything's fine"
"I'm glad everything's okay Nity I really wished someone told me sooner so I could have gone to visit you"
"It's okay I'm okay now. Maybe you can come visit still I haven't seen you since my graduation. I miss you"
"Me too, I'll visit soon I promise. Look I gotta go I'm having batting practice in ten minutes and I gotta go get changed. I'll see you soon. Love you"
"Love you too Jus, oh hey can you tell Kyle about what happened. I'd call and tell him but I don't want to have to repeat it again."
"Oh Vanity always the lazy one. Don't worry I'll let him know"
"Okay thanks, bye"
"Bye sissy"
When he hung up I was greeted with someone belly flopping onto my bed.
"Hey bestie!" Carly says while still face down into the sheets.
"Hey Carls"
She got up and took a seat by the edge of the bed.
"I came to visit cause my parents are in town and I've had enough of them already"
"Oh they're in town!"
"Yeah my stupid ass of a sister decided she wanted to get married here in LA so now I have my parents and all of my sisters living in my house for the next two weeks. How great is that?!" She says sarcastically
"Oh calm down C, it can't be that bad"
"Oh its that bad! Chloe and Chelsea literally don't shut up about their doctor stuff and Courtney has had at least five bride tantrums and not to mention my mom constantly asking if I have a boyfriend. Can I live with you?"
"Carly Sage Adams you are not getting off that easily, they're you're family. Plus it's only what a week left?"
"Two weeks Vanity two weeks!"
"Okay fine you can stay cause I just realized I won't be able to work for another two weeks so that way I'm not home alone while the boys go play their game you can be with me"
"I like the sound of that! Thank you thank you! I owe you!"
"What time do you go to work?"
"At 5, why?"
"It's 4:45 Carly"
"Oh fuck! I gotta go bye boo I'll see you" she says running out of my room and almost running into a nurse.

Cody's POV
"Do you think she's okay?!"
"Cody for that last time she's fine! You've asked that question at least 5 times in the last hour" Corey yells out from the locker room
"Yeah man Vanity's chill. She's probably partying and enjoying her break from you"
"Oh shut up!"
We still had two games to go and then we'd be able to go back home. Unfortunately I couldn't skip this trip because we'd be under player limit so I had to come and leave Vanity. But hopefully this day goes by fast.
"Let's go boys game starts in 10 minutes!" Dave yells while he walks out to the dugout
Time to call my baby. I dial her number and she picks up right away.
"Damn baby let the phone ring at least once" I say jokingly trying to make her laugh because her laugh makes my day ten times better.
"Oh shut up! I'm bored"
"Whatcha doing?"
"Nothing, I've been in bed all day. I went out a bit to take a walk but then I got lost so yeah that was that. And then Carly came to visit before she went to work"
"That's great babe! So when are they gonna discharge you?"
"In two days"
We spent about 10 minutes talking before Corey yelled at me to get onto the field.
"I gotta Van, I'll see you tomorrow. Love you"
"Love you more"
Once she hung up I headed to the field and began my game. It's been weird playing without Vanity. Every time I turn to the dugout I always think she'll be there with her big smile watching me but she's not. One more day Cody one more day.
