I opened my mouth to say something, but no words came out. The pain in my shoulder suddenly making an appearance. "Um... Am I missing something?" A confused Yonatan asked. I closed my eyes for a moment to let everything sink in. "No not really. I mean it's not that important." William said casually. Anger erupted inside of me once again and I let out a frustrated groan. "Our families didn't get along so well... That's all." William continued, obviously trying to calm me down. God I really hate this guy! Yes, it is a big deal! "Rachel... Please. Calm down." William suddenly said. "You... You.... STOP DOING THAT!" I yelled angrily. "Alright alright." He mumbled, looking at the ground. "Keep going." Yonatan commanded from across the room, his tone stern and serious. Both me and William looked at him, confused. "Um... Do you even know what's going on?" William asked with a hint of annoyance. "No, not really but it sounds important so I would like you to continue." His face was emotionless. He was honestly kindof scaring me. When did he become so mature? William looked at me in response. I nodded. I don't know exactly what has gotten into my brother, but he is right. William needs to continue, before I blow a fuse. William sighed, "Okay then... Here we go." He looked me straight in the eyes. They were burning into mine fiercely. A blush crept on my face and I immediately looked at the ground. Why... Why did I feel this way? Before I could think about it, he interrupted my thoughts, "It happened about 5 years ago...."
~ FLASHBACK ~ Williams POV
I ran through the woods, anger threatening to take over me. "I hate him!" I yelled, in a stupid attemp to make me feel better, "I HATE HIS GUTS!" I shouted, throwing a fist at the nearest tree. I stood there for what felt like 5 minutes, resting. The silence calmed me, and I swear if it weren't for all this anger in me, I could probably fall asleep. A tree branch snapped from behind me and I froze. "I know this is none of my business child... But who exactly is this person you despise so much." A soft, feminine voice said. My eyes widened and I stood there completely still. Was I followed? Did a servant follow me? I turned my head slowly, bracing myself for the worst. Relief flooded me as soon as I saw her. She was a tall, beautiful women. She smiled at me, a small, weak smile. "Who... Who are you?" I asked curiously. She stared at me for a moment, her eyes full if pity. She sighed, "My name is Izaberu. Izaberu Rōz." My eyes widened with shock. No way... "But... I though-" "Yes yes yes, I know. You thought we were extinct." She replied, cutting me off. "Your a Light Mage.... Are you the last one?" I asked her, curiosity flooding through me. Her smile faded quickly, and I could tell I hit a soft spot. "I'm sorry!" I quickly shot. Ugh i am an aweful person. She shook her head and looked at the ground, "No no, it's okay." She said softly, "I'm not necessarily alone... I do have my family... But... Besides them..." A tear fell down her face and she quickly wiped it away. "Now dear, I believe I asked you a question," She smiled, her sweet, soft smile, "who exactly is this evil person you speak of?" My heart sank at her question. Water began to fill my eyes, and I couldn't help but to let a tear fall. Her smile faded and she quickly leaned down to wipe my tear away. "My... My father." I whispered, "He... He's making me marry. Marry! Can you believe that? IM 13!" I yelled, anger making it's way back to me. "Ah..." She mumbled, "I see... I take it you ran away then?" I nodded, not taking my eyes away from the ground. "Izaberu!" A man called from somewhere in the forest. She sighed, "That's my cue..." "Will I see you again?" I asked. There was something about her... She was really nice to me. No one has ever been so kind to me before. "Izaberu!" The man called out again, his voice filled with fear and worry. "Oh no... " she whispered. She turned to walk away but I quickly grabbed her arm. "Make me a promise." She mumbled, "can you do that for me?" What? A promise? "Uhh... Yeah. Yes I can." I replied bravely. She nodded then looked at me, "I'm... I'm not going to survive much longer... Neither is my husband." My eyes widened with shock. "No... Why?" I asked, sadness tinted in my eyes. He shook her head in responce, "That's not important. What is important is that... My kids... They're going to survive today, I'll make sure of it, but on their own... They won't last very long. One day... Can you... I don't know.... Just make sure their okay." She smiled at me again and, and once again, I was on the verge of tears. Before I could reply, she took off running. My mind was racing a hundred miles per hour and I was confused... So confused... But I knew what I had to do... "I promise..." I whispered, "I won't let you down." And in that moment I turned around, and went back to my awful father and my horrible soon to be wife.
