Graduation. A day that we officially leave the refuge of high school and begin our real lives. But what in those lives as we go into the world? What matters most? Is it about the things we create? The things we achieve? The awards we win? Or is it about who we are when we fail? What's more important, what we became or how we became it?

Do you realize that the rest of your life is being shaped right now? The rest of your life is a long time whether you know it or not it's being shaped right now. You can choose to blame your circumstances on fate or bad luck or bad choices or you can fight back! Things aren't going to be fair in the real world but that's just the way it is. But for the most part, is that you get what you give. Let me all ask you a question, What's worse? Not getting everything you ever wished for or getting it and finding out that it's not enough. The rest of your life is being shaped right now with the dreams you choose, the choices you make and the person you decide to be. The rest of your life is a long time and the rest of your life starts right now!

The last few months of high school are crazy. So many emotions are flying around that you Can't tell the difference between excitement, nerves or grief. Nobody want to say it but we're all thinking about all of our last's, or if we'll see that person again after graduation. We're all running away from our small town and peers that we've "hated" for all these years but now we're realizing the family that was created after these long 13 years of school. Scrambling to make amends, reconnect, and make new connections. It's all we know. It's all we've ever known. Now we're expected to create a whole new life for ourselves for the first time. Which is exciting but scary. We're clutching onto the endless laughter with old friends, the late night talks, sleepovers with the group, and every last moment that is familiar. In 3 short months, we're expected to look back and say that this is the past.....the past. Hold onto every last moment of your last year. Do the things that scare you and that might drive you absolutely insane. Make mistakes. Be crazy and reckless. Live. This is your last chance to be a teenager. Hold onto every possible moment you have.
