Freedom of choice. You can be anything and you can live anywhere and you can spend time with anyone. All of that sounds really good but in practice its pretty dark. Too much freedom is no less than a cage. Because it traps you in your own guilt and regret.
Life is not the most part all unicorns and rainbows. No matter where you choose to live or with whom you choose to spend your life with, they are all filled with imperfections and flaws and at some point in your life you will question whether you made the right decision or not. At that point, there would be a thought in the back of your mind that maybe you should've gone with something "other", something "better". But the thing is there is no better.
We choose people/things in our lives based on what values we posses. No matter how perfect something looks at first glance, it's almost uncertain what is going to take hold for us.
So the best thing that you can do is have good values, think about them and filter out choices that go accordingly to our values. Narrow your range of choices and be committed to your values and the few choices that you made based on them. Your values will give you direction so you won't get lost and come out alive from the cage of freedom.
