"Happy birthday Jenna," Hunter smiled as the waitress at Pinewood brought out a slice of cheesecake with caramel sauce and candle, "I love you."

"I love you too handsome, thank you." I squeezed his hand as I blew out the candle and we split the cake. We had a date night as Sutton was watching home with the boys. Hunter and I talked about everything under the sun from Sutton working every Tuesday and Thursday after school at the label on top of horseback riding again and Easton doing try outs for his senior soccer team. "Maybe you can tell me how our children have grown so fast," I chuckled, "Sutton is going to be seventeen. And the boys, oh my goodness. Fourteen and twelve." I shook my head.

"And where did they get their height genes?" Hunter laughed. Sutton seems to have topped out at 5'5, but Easton was taller than Hunter now and Beckett was catching up.

"My dad was five eleven..." I said, "and Ali is taller than me." He nodded, smiling. "So, I know things went crazy but have you thought more about Belle Meade?" Late last year before the accident, Hunter was thinking of using his land outside of the city to build a new home for us, and a bungalow for his parents on the same property.

"Yeah, so I have a few ideas," he went into further detail, "but between touring I haven't talked to my parents about it. Maybe they would actually consider selling the house in Louisiana and then they're not paying their condo fees."

"Oh, absolutely." We headed back home, "I would love to talk to the kids about it. They would probably have mixed feelings." I thought about how I felt the first time Hunter showed me the house and how to quickly became the nest for our family.

"The kids will still get to be at the same school," he placed his fork down and added, "and building a house takes time. Eight months at least." We wrapped up our dinner and headed to the Opry to watch Lauren Alaina, Holly Jade, and Kane Brown.

"Thank you Hunter for the wonderful birthday dinner. I always enjoy visiting the Opry with you." I squeezed his hand as we walked into the house to relieve Sutton of her supervisory duties.
