Chapter 2

ELLE WAS in the air flying to her new school and she felt something but couldn't quite pinpoint it. Once she arrived to Minnesota all she could do was stare. It was so different from home. She was used to luxuries but damn.

While she was walking around the private airport trying to figure out where the exit was or at least find someone to give her directions but not one person was in sight. That was until Elle heard a loud noises coming from her left. When she turned in their direction she saw a group of teenage boys huddled up and talking rather loudly.

Elle looked away as they started to quiet down. She quickly looked away and pretended to look busy with her phone. She felt them looking at her which made her nervous but the attention felt good. So she did something she'd never have to guts to do until now. She walked towards them.

"Um hi, I was wondering if you guys would care to tell me where this would lead me to?" Elle asked while handing a tall blonde a piece of paper. He looked down at it and looked back up.

"You're Elle King?" The boy asked.

"Yup, that's me" Elle answered knowing where this was going.

"Well it seems that you're going to the same place we're going to, I'm Trevor and these are-" he was cut off as his friends all started introducing themselves.

"I'm Case"

"Wassuppp I'm Ryder"

"Hello beautiful I'm Alex"

"You guys do realize she isn't going to understand what any of you guys are saying if you guys all say it at once right?" One brunette asked. He immediately had everyone's attention including Elle's. And she recognized him surprisingly. He was Jack Hughes and her father could go on for days about him.

The two made eye contact and she couldn't deny he was extremely attractive except he had a cocky vibe to him. He had nice light eyes, freckles scattered all over his face and he was pretty tall standing at around 5'11 maybe 6 foot.

"You're Leonardo's kid right?" He asked looking straight at her eyes making Elle nervous. She was good at hiding it and lifted her chin up a little more.

"That's me" she smiled and narrowed her eyes a little. He nodded and looked away.

"Let me properly introduce myself, I'm Alex" a boy with a nice square jaw said.

"Nice to meet you Alex" Elle said.

"My turn, I'm Case" a tall good looking guy said and stretched out his hand for Ella to shake. She returned the favor and smiled at him warmly earning a flirtatious smirk back.

"Did you get your schedule yet?" Trevor asked.

"Uh yeah I think this is it" Ella showed him her phone.

"Wow honors classes you must be smart" he said looking up with a smirk.

"Not even close, I don't know how I got in if I was being quite honest" Elle said looking at her feet.

"That's the exact thing Jack said when he found out he was in honors" Trevor said looking over at Jack. Jack looked up and shook his head then looked at Elle. He couldn't deny that she was pretty, her dark blue eyes were beautiful and her mid length hair looked so soft. Jack didn't want to get caught staring so he looked away smoothly and went back to texting.

"Elle King? I'll be your driver" a bald man said to Elle.

"Oh thank god" Elle quickly grabbed her things. "I guess I'll see you boys around" she said and turned around.

The school came into a view and Elle was in complete awe. It was absolutely stunning. It reminded her of the castles from fairytales and she felt like a princess as girly as it sounded.

The driver helped Elle bring her bags to her room and as she was just about to say nothing could make her even more happy she saw her room. Well more like her apartment.

The small but spacious kitchen was marble themed and the living room couch was grey with a tv hung on the wall. When she went into her bedroom she was surprised to say the least. It had plenty of windows but not too much and had a King sized bed with a white comforter.

Elle decided she's unpack first and then roam around the campus. So she quickly put her stuff away before heading out.

She had the map that was given to her of the campus in her hands her eyes searching for nothing in particular. That was until she found the library on it and saw just how much space it took on the map.

One thing Elle enjoyed maybe just as much as she loved playing hockey was reading. How she could use her imagination amazed her. The only thing other than hockey that could lighten her mood was a good book.

Eventually Elle found it after fifteen minutes of walking around cluelessly. It was gorgeous, majestic even. Elle was in complete awe not only at the fact that library itself was probably the size of the first floor of her house, which says a lot, but just how beautiful this campus was in general.

After 10 minutes of wandering through isles Elle found a book she deemed worthy of reading. On her way to find some place to sit down she bumped into someone. Bumped into someone as like falling onto the ground bumping into someone.

"Shit, I'm so sorry" the boy said.

Elle looked up and saw that he was one of the boys she asked for directions at the airport. He was one of the good looking ones. The really good looking ones.

"It's okay don't break a sweat kinda use to falling on my ass" Elle said awkwardly. "I mean playing hockey and everything you know?"

"Oh yeah" he said kinda confused, and then as if a lightbulb was switched on his head snapped up. "You play hockey?"

"I was practically born to play hockey my dad is  Leonardo King" Elle said having pride in being a King.

"You're probably a beast on the ice just like he is" the boy says chuckling. This caused Elle to get just a little flustered, she wasn't used to compliments from boys her age.

"Do you want to maybe go get something to eat from the snack bar with me?" He said nervously.

"Yeah-yeah that sounds good" Elle said hiding her nervousness with a smile.

"I'm Case, if you forgot or anything" Case said walking side by side with Elle.

"Trust me, I remembered" Elle said under her breath.
