Unexpected Mates

Chapter 2. The Letter

     As I get ready for the day I put on my black sweats and a tank top, and slipping into my tennis shoe. I tie my long brown hair up in a tight ponytail as I make my way downstairs to the kitchen, i smell the sweet scent of bacon and what smells like pancakes. I turn the corner I see my mom cooking breakfast. As always she heard me coming before I'm even down the stairs completely.

"Goodmoring dear, you ready for breakfast?" My moms asked cheerfully

"I sure am I could eat a horse" i said chuckling lightly

"I know you could so could everyone else in this house. If I didn't buy enough food every week we would starve, especially with your father being around" she said smiling from ear to ear while setting the table.

My mom, Scarlett Lockhart is the Luna of this pack. She is about 5'4 in height has long blond hair unlike mine which is brown with a hint of blonde. My mother and father have been together since they were teens. They knew they were mates even during highschool when where just highschool sweethearts. They shared and still do a bond like no other.

"Wheres dad?" I asked looking at her

"He finished his food in his office hun" said mom knowing that is what he does before a meeting.

The Alpha, my father, John Lockhart has called a small pack meeting that also mean the Betas will be there and so will the warriors, They are gonna discuss new events happening around the packs and the borders surrounding us. Of course I have to go even though I don't want to.

rolling my eyes "Of course he is" I said amused

Mom walks over with a big plate of bacon and pancakes. I lick my lips waiting for her to set them down. After she does she sits and we start eating in silence for some time. Which was started to get very uncomfortable.

"So dear make any new friends lately?" Asks mom hinting at something else

"Ugh no mom I haven't found a mate yet" I said annoyed scencing that is what she was asking about. Every morning she tries to ask me the same question. And I answer the same way every time.

"Well sweetheart when you find the nice young man you bring him by so I can meet him, you hear?" She said.

I raise my voice a bit annoyed "MOM YOU KNOW I AM A LESBIAN!"

Holding her hands up "Whatever you say dear"

rolling my eyes for the 2nd time today I stand to put my dishes in the sink, washes them and setting them in the drying rack. I kiss my moms cheek on my way out the door.

she hollers "Meeting is at 5pm dear don't be late!" "OH and wear something other than those sweats of yours!"

"OK MOM!" I holler back

Checking my watch it's almost 12pm I have little over 4 hours to do what I want. As I'm walking through the pack ground I get greeted by some good morning and hellos. That tends to happen alot since I'm next in line to be Alpha or Luna, to me it doesn't matter.

*some time passes*

I'm in my room with TT and her sister Shy. We are all getting ready for this meeting that starts in 20 minutes.

"Hey Clauic do you know what this meeting is about?" asks Shy?

"No I don't actually" I say shrugging my shoulders

"Well whatever it is it has to be important for your father to hold a meeting over dinner" says TT from the bathroom.

"Yea maybe it's good news" says Shy jumping up happily. Shy is the twin of TT everyone says they look alike but that's not completely true. Shy is 1 inch shorter than her sister and has long dark brunette hair. Yea there faces are the same but everything about them is different except their personalities.
