Unexpected Mates

Chapter 5: Found the One

POV Clauic

"Mate!" My wolf screamed at me.
As I have to find that intoxicating smell. I slightly push through the crowd up people's whispering my apologies. I stop dead in my tracks when I arrived what seemed to be the kitchen. Beautiful marble counters a high chandelier over the island in the middle. There was a other door at the other end of the room. Thats when I see the most beautiful woman i have ever seen. She looks to be about 5'5 in height. She has short blonde hair that falls just down to her shoulders. She is wearing a beautiful red dress that hugs every curve on her body and stops at her knees. I take my time at look further down and see she is wearing red lacey heels to match her dress.
I look to her left and notice she is talking to an unmated male and it infuriates me i can feel my wolf push to the top and next thing I know I have my hands around this unmated males throat.

"What are you doing standing here and talking to my mate boy!" I growl threatenly but not trying to bring attention to me. "To late" my wolf says angrily.
I felt a hand touch my arm sending a tingling sensation through me. Must be the mate bond, I thought to my self.
I felt my wolf subside and I dropped the male and he hit the floor with a thud trying to catch his breath.
Looking at my mate and she has an angry expression on her face. It's kinda cute I think to my self.

"What gives you the right to walk into my party and threaten my best friend!?" She yelled

"Good job you pissed off our mate" says my wolf  Max in my head.

"Well what was i supposed to do let him be near OUR mate besides your the one that took control and got angry" i snap back at her.

"Well dont just stand here answer her dummy" says max

"Hey, I'm sorry beautiful I didn't realize he was your best friend I just didn't feel comfortable with him standing to close to you especially since he is unmated" I say apologetically.

Man, she is beautiful, has the most piercing blue eyes that I could just get lost in and never return.
She has this look of confusion on her face, she quickly looks down and I heard a slight giggle, she has the cutest giggle.

I guess that means she isn't mad anymore. "What so funny beautiful?"

She blushed "I like your shoes" she says shyly

How did I get so lucky to have a beautiful and shy mate. Definitely has a fire side. That just make me want to run far away with her, take care of her and never return.

"Thanks I got them on my last birthday from my mom she really likes to buy me new converses every year which I don't mind. Anyway so can I get a name sweetheart?" I say scratching the back of my neck.

"Now you ask her for her name only took you forever dumbass" says Max impatiently

"You hush" I think back. Looking at my beautiful mate and getting very worried because she hasn't said anything.

Blair Rosefield daughter of the Alpha and Luna of The Black Lake Pack" says Blair

I tense at the sound of her packs name. Oh no this is gonna get very tricky very fast. Her parents are not gonna like this. She has such a beautiful name the way it just rolls off the tounge I think to myself

"I'd like to roll her off my tounge" says Max

"HEY YOU QUIT IT! I snap at her

"We were both thinking it" says Max teasingly.

Snapping back to reality I realize it was my turn to introduce myself
"I'm Clauic Lockheart daughter of the Alpha and Luna of the Blood Moon Pack, it is nice to meet you miss Rosefield" I say formerly.

I hear Alpha Vince approach us and say "Well it looks like our daughters have already meet" which in turn making Blair jump not reaslizing they were approaching us.
"Yes looks that way" says my father

My parents give Blair a hug and congratulate her. I smile at them all and bow my head respectfully to the alphas.
I look at Blair and I catch her staring at me. She looks away blushing as red as her dress. This girl who isn't much taller than Blair comes and wraps her arms around her pulling her into a hug, she looks almost exactly like her must be sisters.
I notices she whispers into her ear, but with my wolf hearing I picked up a little of what she said without missing a beat i told them
"I'm 5'8"
Once she recovered from Blairs elbow to the ribs her and Blair both stare at me with suprise on their faces, as if I'm crazy.

I hear Alpha Vince call everyone to the main room. Following the crowd I occasionally bump into some members from mine and blairs pack. Upon entering the room, I found myself watching Blair closely, keeping an eye on her. The main room was more beautiful than I could have imagined. It was decorated with delicate  lavender orcads and lilys, windows surrounding the room with dark blue satin curtains cascading down. I glanced at the stage, I see Blair and her parents heading that direction my wolf Max wined at me to follow my mate, but I knew tonight was not the night to announce to both packs about us finding each other. I finally find my friends Margaret, T and Ash in the crowd and tell them all about Blair. The whole crowd finally settled down and the Alpha began to speak.

"Welcome everyone to my little girl Blair's eighteenth birthday celebration. It is a special day to celebrate the day she can start her journey towards finding her mate. A strong male that who will love and adore her! The whole room is filled with applause and whistle noises. I look at Blair standing near the stage and she has a smile, but it don't reach her eyes. I can tell this is gonna take a huge toll on her more than it will me. Ima be there every step of the way. I will do everything in my power to keep us together.
