Chapter 3: To Busy Brooding

POV Clauic

Today is August 14th the day of the party for Blair Rosefield. Why do I have to go to is stinking party? What they gonna have pretty pink everything? Unicorns and rainbows? This is a joke. Why do I have to go again?

"Calm down" say TT grabbing my shoulders to stop me from pacing and talking.

I look at the twins "I'm sorry y'all. I'm just nervous my parents expect me to be able to impress the Alpha, Luna and their daughter. All awhile they want... wait no they expect me to find my mate, so going to this party is their way of telling me to find them sooner than later."

"Don't stress hun" says Shy

"Yeah! We still have plenty of time before the party. You guys want to go swimming? We could tease all of the boys there" says TT seductively wiggling her eyebrows at us.
"And the girls" says Margaret winking at me

I roll my eyes at there childish ways, but that does sound fun, swimming not the teasing of the boys and girls you dirty birdies. "Sure TT let's all go swimming"

They all squealed with joy. I laughed at them, knowing the only way to get them to leave me to my brooding is agreeing to their childish ways.

*A couple hours later*

We finally made it back to the pack house and we had 2 hours to get ready for the party at the Black Lake pack.
We went the kitchen grabbed a couple of snacks and went up to my room. While the twins were occupying the bathroom my phone dinged notifying me I got a message I located my bag and took out my phone I got a message from my mom asking if I needed any help getting ready. I told her no that we are fine. Sighing I put my phone down only to turn around and see TT glaring at me. Of course I knew she was there because duh wolf senses. TT and Shy were wearing beautiful matching dresses only difference is TTs is baby blue while Shys is emerald green. They both looked stunning.

"What are you doing?" Says TT trying to be stern

"Umm texting? Why?" I ask

"You should be getting into your dress not texting now move it!" proclaims TT pushing my dress into my arms and ushering me into the bathroom.

Margaret just starts laughing me while I fix the dress that was just shoved at me and at TTs expression.

"OK OK I'm going jeez in a hurry much TT?

"Yes now hurrrrry" she wines

I strip out of my everyday black jeans and black shirt that has the words "Fucking Gay" in rainbow on it. I jump into the shower washing away all the chlorine from the pool. I dry off and slip into my beautiful elegant lavender colored dress that clings to my curve and hangs off my shoulders showing off my beautiful wolf tattoo. Ironic huh? I thought so. Now I start with some concealer and a light blush with a little bit of purple eye-shadow, which makes my hazel eyes stand out. I put my long curly-ish hair into a high tight pony tail. I slipped on my converse. I take a look at myself into my 6ft standing mirror. I considered myself ready. As I left the bathroom I hear 4 gasps coming from the people in my room. I took up and I see Margaret,TT, Shy and my mother standing there looking at me in awe. I smiled shyly at them.

"My beautiful daughter" says my mother with tears in her eyes. She stretches out her arms to hug me and I accept the embrace. Pulling back I look at the dress my mom is wearing it is a light pink dress that hangs a bit loosely off of her perfect figure.

"You look beautiful mom" I told her

"Thank you sweetheart. Are you all ready?" She asks

"It's gonna be one hell of a party" say TT excitedly

"Why you say that sis?" asks Shy

"Because we are gonna have a blast, I absolutely love parties! says TT while jumping up and down.

i shake my head at her normal antics. As we make our way down stairs.

"Alright ladies let go every in the car." says mom grabbing my dads hand.

We all pile in everyone laughing and chatting about how much fun they will have. Not quite paying attention i zone out into my own thought. What's going to happen? Will i ever find my mate? Will they like me? What if the Alphas daughter don't like me?

Before I had any answers for myself my mom broke me my thoughts.

"We're here ladies" says mom

We pull up at The Black Lake Pack in awe on how beautiful it is especially at night. The pack house is glistening white, which houses the Alpha and Luna, the Betas, and the children, so it has to be big. We all hop out of the car was met by the Alpha and Luna of the Black Lake Pack. I can feel their authority in the air upon getting out of the car. I may be an Alphas daughter but the power of an alpha still has an effect on me until I'm full alpha of my pack.

"Welcome to the Black Lake Pack. I am Vince, Alpha of this pack. This is my mate Luna Jennifer." He says as he gestures to his lovely mate. I bow my head in respect and my mom and dad give them hugs for past times. The adults are in a deep conversation, so I decide to make my way up to the pack house. I fix my hair, and smooth my dress one last time. 

While walking with Margaret on my right, TT and Shy on my left. I caught the eyes of some passerby's. "Um ladies you know they are staring right" i whispered to them

They both looked around and nodded their heads, looking at me and smiling  We keep walking with our heads high smiling and waving at whoever waves. We finally make our way to the pack house enterance I open the door and was hit with flashing colorful light and the sound of music playing. i hears the girls gasp behind me. I gotta admit this was not what I was expecting, there is pups, teens and Adults dancing, chatting and drinking what smells like cranberry juice with green apple crown mixed in, and other as in the adults straight tequila and of course the alcohol is monitored by a kitchen staff so minors can't get any.

I take another deep breath and walk further in to the house. I was greeted with another lovely smell that I can't put my finger on. I could feel the presents of what feels like millions of eyes staring at me. Mostly unmated males. Leaving my group behind. I decide to investigate where that smell is coming from. When I found the source of that delicious smell, my wolf jumped up and growled "MATE!"
