Lost love

Chapter 5

Lucy, Natsu, and Happy left the employers home and went to scout out a hiding spot for the job.

"So we need to go hide somewhere close to the town square" Lucy said remembering what Mr. Kaska told them.

*FLASH BACK!*

"So why are these guys so dangerous?" Natsu asked. Finally, I get a challenge while fighting some one. The only person I've fought is Gray, so I haven't fought anyone decent in month's. Natsu thought.

*suddenly at fairy tail*

"Achoo!" Gray sneezed.

"Is somthing wrong with Gray-sama" Juvia asked.

"No probably just a cold" he replied.

*Back to Natsu Lucy and Happy*

Mt. Kaska answered Natsu's earlier question." These bandits have extremely powerful magic. There are two of them. One controls magic of darkness. The other magic of light. Together they are unbeatable. But I have faith in you."

" So how many people have fought them?" Lucy asked nervous about the total.

"39 people have fallen to them. Only one person has survived. But they had very fatal wounds and died in the hospital a week later. That is how we found out what type of magic they have." Mr. Kaska replied grimly.

40 PEOPLE!!!!! Lucy thought getting really worried. Calm down Lucy you'll be with Natsu.  He'll protect you.

"These criminals go after the riches in our town. They stole our towns prized gem. They stole our towns prized memorial statue . He stole so many things it would take to long to name them all. The only thing left for them to steel is the town great treasure. It is a statue made of gold. It was made years ago for the towns founder. It is the towns greatest treasure."  Mr. Kaska said looking down at the floor.

"Where is the statue located?" Lucy asked.

"In the center of town" Mr. Kaska replied.

"Do you know what time they might be there?" Lucy asked.

"Midnight" Mr. Kaska said grimly.

"Okay thank you. We'll do well." Natsu said standing up.

*FLASH BACK ENDED!*

"So Natsu we have to go to the center of town" Lucy stated." It's 8 o'clock so we have 3 hours till we need to be in our spots."

"You promised me food!" Natsu screamed.

"Okay okay" Lucy said holding her hands up in defeat.

"Yeah! Happy we get food!" Natsu said dancing around like and idiot.

"Yeah!" Happy yelled.

We walked around for a few minutes before stopping at the fire and ice reastraunt. We all sat down at a table close to the window.

Natsu was fidgeting with the necklace in his pocket. Should I give it to her now? Natsu wondered. He took the box slightly out of his pocket.

"Um Lucy I have somthing yo tell you" Natsu said blushing uncharacteristically. Happy started laughing uncontrollably. Natsu sent him a death glare

"Okay then tell me" Lucy said oblivious to what was going on.

Right before Natsu could say anything the waitress came over and asked them what they wanted for a drink. Then she left.

"You were saying?" Lucy asked.

"Never mind" Natsu said putting the box back in his pocket.

I will tell her soon, I swear! Natsu thought.

They all ordered their food and ate making idle chit chat.  Soon enough they noticed it was 10:30.

"What! How did we spend 2 and a half hours here" Lucy yelled which caused people to stare at her.

"Time flys when your in lllloooooooovvvvvvvveeeeeee" Happy stated drawing out the love.

"SHUT UP CAT" Lucy yelled at Happy.

They all hurried and payed for the dinner and left to go to the hiding spot.
