Pregnancy Tests

One

"I'll be back tomorrow night. Hopefully before 10." Brandon said, pulling me close.

"Ok." I smiled. I'm used to overnight trips. I'm used to week long trips. His company is always sending him on trips, which is weird cause he's only been there for a few months.

"I love you." he pecked my lips.

"I love you more." I said back, being pulled into an actual kiss.

"Bye." he said as he pulled away.

He knows I don't mind short trips that much, but I can tell he feels guilty every time anyway.

I walked to the kitchen window and waved as he backed out of the driveway.

I walked upstairs to our room and fished out some clothes from my closet. Usually I'd just wear sweats and a tank top, but I have errands to run so I decide on dark skinny jeans and a blue shirt.

When I was brushing my teeth my phone started going off. It was Brandon's friend Harry. He's also my friend, so it's not weird.

I spit and set my toothbrush down.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey Caroline!" he said cheerful as ever. "Brandon leave today?"

"Yeah. He'll be back tomorrow."

"Well I don't want you home all alone all day. If you want, you can come over for dinner."

"I don't know."

"Why not? It's just dinner."

I thought a moment. Yeah it's just Harry, who I've known almost as long as Brandon has, but Brandon has a tendency to get jealous, especially around Harry. But I guess what Brandon doesn't know won't kill him.

"Ok, fine. I'll be there around 6."

"Perfect. See ya then." He said just before hanging up.
