**Caroline's POV**

"Yeah mom I know. It's just- mhm. Ok. Ok. Yeah. You too. Bye." I heard Harry talking on the phone as I entered the kitchen. It's been about two weeks since I told him I love him, and surprisingly, nothing has really changed. except we kiss more frequently, and Harry seems a little on edge. That's probably more about the baby than anything.

"What was that all about?"

"Ah nothing. Just my mum asking if we'll be visiting for Easter. She wasn't the happiest person ever when I didn't spend Christmas with her."

I was slightly confused by the change in accent when I remembered he gave up 'mom' in 6th grade because 'mum' sounded cooler.

"Sounds fun." I said.

"Really? Easter with my mother sounds fun?"

"Uh huh!" I agreed excitedly. "I love your mom."

"You love my mu- Have you ever even met my mum?"

I rolled my eyes at him. "I went to school with you all throughout elementary and high school."

"Well, you know what I mean."

"Why don't you like your mom?"

"It's not that I don't, I mean I do. I'm her son. But she's irritating and embarrassing and she's just-"

"Harry, it's fine. All mothers are. I'd love to visit her."

"You do know, she doesn't know yet." he rested his hand gently on my stomach.

"I guess we have a little surprise for her then." I shrugged.

"Do your parents know?"

"I'd rather not tell them?"

"How come? Are you embarrassed? Ashamed?"

"No. I'd just rather not talk to them in general. The idea was to move out for collage and never return, and it remains true."

"Ok." he didn't press further, thankfully. Instead he changed the subject. "I think we should go to dinner."

"Haha, funny." Then I realized he wasn't joking. "Why?"

"What? Can't a guy treat his girl?"

"Well, I don't know." I played it shyly.

"Go get ready." He chuckled, smirking. "Something nice-ish."

"Ok."

"Harry did you have to choose such a nice restaurant? I feel underdressed." I said as we entered the door to some restaurant so elegant that I can't even pronounce the name.

"You look beautiful. As always." he took my hand and touched it gently to his lips.

I was going to argue, because after all I am pregnant and the best I can do it a simple summer dress, but I decided against it. I guess I don't look that bad.

**Harry's POV**

The dinner was going great, for her anyway. The entire time I was freaking out. Of course I kept my calm face on, I didn't want to hint anything. When she was distracted by something going on outside I took a deep breath. Ok, now or never.

**Brandon's POV**

I watched them from across the restaurant. They didn't know I was here. But I am. Caroline was talking. I saw them laugh. I watched as she looked out the window at a dog Harry pointed out.

And then it happened.

Harry pushed back his chair, and walked around to her side of the table. And he got on one knee.
