"P, what are you doing here?" Kris exclaimed as soon as he spotted the young doctor casually leaning on his car like a total model. Wait, did he just described Singto as such? Nevermind, it's true anyway. He dismissed the random thought from his head and jogged his way to Singto, who attracted attention from boys and girls alike with how suave he looked.

"To celebrate," he grinned and openned the door of his car as soon as Krist reduced the distance between them.

"Celebrate?" Krist rose an eyebrow and hauled his bag. "Celebrate what?"

"You're done with the exams, right? It's time to reward your hard work, Nong," he smirked.

"But I haven't pass the exams yet," Krist protested but ducked in the car nonetheless.

Singto's muffled laughter reached inside the car as he rounded the vehicle and entered the driver's side. "Like I said, this is for your hard work. You'll get another once you pass and get your license."

Krist blushed at Singto's wordings and meekly turned away. "P, don't you have a shift today?" He pulled the seat belt over his body and stole a glance towards the humming driver.

"I went overtime last night remember? They'll call me in later tonight, don't worry." Singto regarded him, smirking when he caught Krist's bashful act.

Krist looked away again and nibbled on his lips. "Then shouldn't you be resting?"

"I have enough rest for today and tomorrow, believe me," the way he said it while staring straight into his eyes made something in Krist jump. Red cheeks and stuttering lips, the younger lost his speech capabilities.

Singto drove the car to wherever he has in mind. Krist was surprise when he took them to the same noddle shop where they first ate together. The young doctor smiled at his questioning eyes before he gestured for them to enter. The auntie from before happily greeted them and ushered the duo to an empty table. When she was done fussing over them, Krist and Singto fell into comfortable silence. Krist had to wonder why does Singto looked so proud of him right now. He even insisted that it was his treat. When their usual set arrived, they shared silence and began to eat their meals. Krist was stunned when Singto dropped a fishball in his bowl and gave him a proud grin before resuming.

"That is from your perseverance," Singto reasoned and placed another on Krist's bowl. "And this is from your determination to do your best."

Krist smiled tightly that it was almost a grimaced. "Thank you, P," he muttered and gesture for Singto eat as well but the senior only nodded and grinned in satisfaction.

"How was the exam?" Singto asked as they finally got back in the car.

Krist hummed and pulled his seat belt. "It was very difficult but most of the topics I reviewed came out. I feel so relieved," he groaned and placed a hand on his chest.

Singto chuckled and shook his head. "That's why I said you shouldn't worry. You did great, now all you have to do is wait."

"P?" Krist called weakly after a cogent pause. "Your's is coming up next week, right? Shouldn't you be studying too?"

"If you're worried why I'm here instead of my room, don't," he chided. "I know where I needed to be," he spoke in clear tranquility. Krist felt that familiar tug again and he looked down on his chest in confusion.

Singto was met with silence. Blissfully contented, he continued driving with a smile on his face. Krist was well aware he can't ignore his erratic heart and muddled mind anymore. Riddles after riddles of emotions and feelings kept stirring inside of him that he can no longer decipher which is which. Every small gesture Singto did for him created big impacts and he didn't know when and what to expect.
