"A situation has developed and we need your team to check it out,"

came in a voice on my walkie talkie. It was like déjà vu. I swear I've heard that before. But I don't know when or where. "Where do we need to meet you?" I asked. "Outside of New York," he replied. New York? Why New York? We never go there. "Thanks," I replied, "Over and out."

"So what do we do next?"

I asked him. "Apparently," he replied, "Nothing about our previous mission." "What do you mean?" I asked. "I got a message in saying that they need us outside of New York," he replied. "What!?!?!" I exclaimed, "Why?" "Don't ask me," he replied, "We haven't messed around there for ages."

-----

We drove to New York. I probably shouldn't tell you this, but we're not too far from New York. When we get to the outskirts, there's this huge wall. I look up and see some kind of beam coming from somewhere, but it looks like its hitting right in the middle of New York. Another car pulls up, and a man gets out. "There's a spaceship orbiting Earth," he says, "It's sending out this beam, and we don't know how to stop it." "You must be from the Lab," said Alex. "Yes," he said, "We've contacted Samson, and he says Agent X would know what to do." "That's me," said Alex, "Is the spaceship alien?" "As far as we know," the man replied, "Yes." Alex turned to me. "You and Don should go try to find Shadow," he said, "I gotta help them." "But..." I started. "That's an order!" he interrupted. Then, he ran off. I hate it when he doesn't tell me stuff.

"How did you contact Samson?" Don asked the man. "He's in New York," he replied.

-----

"I can't believe he just left us like that," I said. "Welcome to being a spy," he replied, "Everything's classified." We were back at the HQ, just talking. "Does he not trust us?" I asked. "He's just following the rules," Don said, "Besides, sometimes it's best that you don't know something." "Like what exactly I am?" I said. "Well," said Don, "Imagine that they told you that when you first were activated, would you have taken it as well?" "Probably not," I said. I don't know how I would've reacted. I guess it was for my own good. In thought for a moment. "He said he wanted us to find Shadow, any ideas?" I said to change the subject. "No," replied Don, "It sounds like he's the best person to do that." I just remembered that I never tested that sample from the carpet.

I went to our science section and tested it. "It's mind control serum alright," said Don, looking at the results. "That's what I don't get," I said, "If Shadow can copy people's powers, why didn't he just copy Mark's and kill him?" "Good point," said Don, "Maybe he wanted another partner." "Possibly," I said, "But then it would have been smarter to offer Mark the chance to join him, rather than controlling him right off the bat, and Mark didn't say anything about that in any clue." "Hmm..." said Don. "I have an idea!" I interrupted, "We should go back to the FBI facility to look for clues!" "That's not a bad idea," said Don.

-----

I was looking around the facility. Less than half of it is gone. They must have built it well. There seemed to only be one room in the whole building though. I looked at the remaining walls. Then, something caught my eye. There was little lines, invisible to the human eye, forming a a rectangle, about the size of a door. I could tell that there were wires in the wall surrounding it. I followed one wire all of the way to another line, this time in the shape of a circle, about an inch in diameter. I pushed on it. Then a robotic voice said "Authentication please." I thought for a moment. Then, trying to imitate Casper's voice as best I could, I said "Agent Casper." "Access granted," the voice said, then the door opened.

I was surprised it let me in. My voice sounded exactly like Casper.
