I walked into the common room looking for my phone. If Mr. Stark knows I lost it again he's gonna flip his lid. That will be the third phone I lost in a month. He might take away lab privileges and I can't handle that. I remember that we had a movie night last night and maybe my phone fell into the couch. Since, you know, couches eat basically everything such as spare change, clothes, phones, the remote.

I flip the whole couch and shake it but the only thing that falls out is a few quarters, Clint's hearing aids, a few $100 bills, papers, and a sock. No phone. The couch was still in the air when the elevator door opened and out walked the Avengers.

"Kid, what are you doing?" Tony asks.

"Ummm." I slowly put down the couch. Clint rushes over when he spots his hearing aids.

"My hearing aids! I was wondering what I did with those. Thanks Peter."

"Is that my sock? No wonder I can't find the other one." Steve exclaimed.

"Is that $300 dollars?" Bucky asks.

"Oh. That where that went, hah." Mr. Stark said. Each of them collected their items. When he looked at the papers his eyes widened. "Holy shit yes. Now Pepper will stop hounding me about these. I was afraid to tell her I lost them." He takes a deep breath. "You didn't read these, did you?"

"No, I still hadn't put the couch down when you walked in."

"Thank god."

"So Pete, why were you holding the couch up?" Bruce asks.

"Oh, well, um, you see, I uh, ImighthavelostmyphoneandIthoughtitwasinthecouchbutitwasn'tandI'msorryMr.Stark." I released the breath I was holding.

"Woah slow down bud, repeat that but slower this time." Steve said.

"I might have lost my phone and I thought it was in the couch but it wasn't and I'm sorry Mr. Stark." I admit. I know he won't get angry at me but he will get disappointed. To me, that's worse than anger.

He sighed. You lost it here right?"

"Yeah."

"Well, I'll just call it." My mind didn't register what he said until the phone was already ringing.

"Wait wait wait. No, it's okay just hang up!" I rush. Too late. I think since I can already hear my ringtone.

"You Are my Da-ad! YOU'RE MY DAD! BOOGIE WOOGIE WOOGIE!" Everyone looks at me with an amused expression.

"Found it." Clint chuckles.

"Um. I can explain."

"Please continue." Mr. Stark says.

"I uh clicked the wrong ringtone?"

"Is that a question or an answer?" Natasha asked.

"I don't know." I admit. "The truth is.........

I think of you as my dad. Please don't hate me." I admit.

"Kid, I could never hate you. Truth be told, I think of you as my son." Mr. Stark says.

"R-really?"

"Really."

He leaned in and gave me a hug. A real hug. I immediately hug him back. It was nice and comforting.

"What a nice end to the day." Clint says.

The rest of us laugh as he tears up at us being sweet.

"So beautiful." He wipes his tears on Natasha's sleeve. Her face basically screams murder. Clint doesn't even care. I turn back to Mr. Stark.

"So what do I call you?"

He looks down at me. "You can call me, dad, if-if you want." I lean back into the hug.

"Okay, dad."
