The Avengers were in the common room relaxing when they heard numbers being screamed. They looked at each other, confused.
"Friday, who's yelling numbers at the top of their lungs?" Tony asks.
"Peter is screaming the numbers, sir." She replied. The team didn't look that shocked, but it was 9:30pm and he was screaming numbers. Over and over. Tony got up first and the rest followed. The closer they got the more they understood the numbers.
"Is he- is he screaming pi?" Bruce asked. The others looked at him weirdly, especially Thor.
"Why would he be yelling at the pie, Banner?" Thor questioned. Tony chuckled.
"No, pointbreak. P-I, not P-I-E. It's a ratio of a circles circumference to its diameter. Meaning you can take the circumference and diameter of any circle and get pi, which is approximately 3.14." Everyone But Bruce looked confused.
"Okay nerd. Speak english." Clint responded.
Bruce sighed. "You take how big the circle is and divide that by the length across the circle." He explained.
"Ohh." They said. They all continued their journey to Peters room. He had to be loud for them to hear him in the common room. When they got to his room they had to hold their ears because it was so loud. Why would Peter have it this loud if his senses where dialed to eleven?
"Kid?" Tony yelled. Nothing happened. "Friday turn his music down."
Immediately, the sound stopped. Tony opened the door and saw Peter sitting on the ceiling with papers scattered around him, on the floor, and the walls. All filled with numbers.
"Heyyy Mr. Stark. What- What are you- what are you doing here?" He asked.
"Why were you screaming pi at the top of your lungs?" Bruce asks.
Peter looked sheepish. "I wasn't screaming. I was belting, there's a difference."
"Is there though?" Natasha asks. She knew about Peter being a theatre nerd and all about musical terms. Belting for her was basically screaming while singing. Yes, she's tried it before. It didn't turn out well, for Peter's ears.
ANYWAY, why were you belting pi at the top of your lungs?" Tony rephrases.
"Um, well Thursday is pi day and Mrs. Sterling is having a contest to see who can name the most numbers of pi and the winner gets no homework for a week starting Monday. I really hate math so I decided to learn 100 numbers of it from a song and I've practiced it a lot as you can see and-and sorry if I made too much noise. I just really need to study this. And yeah." Peter rambled. The kid really hated math.
"Well, tell us what you've remembered and we can help you study." Bruce suggested.
"That's when I leave."
"Uh, correction, you."
"Yeah, no."
"Farewell friends."
"I'm bad at math, bye."
Steve, Clint, Natasha, Thor, and Bucky all left Peter's room making up excuses or flat out saying no.
"And then there were two." Tony joked. "Anyway kid, show us what you got."
To say Peter was nervous was an understatement. He was about to recite 100 numbers of pi in front of the two smartest people he knew. He inhaled deeply and began.
(A/N: Bolded in asterisks is what Peter is mumbling under his breath)

"Well, yeah. It helps me remember." Peter admits.
"Good job kid, that's 100 numbers. I'm sure you'll do fine on that contest." Tony assures. "If Someone happens to listen to the same song as you then remember one or two more numbers. So after 6-7 is 9-8-2-1-4. Just in case okay"
"Okay, thanks, Mr. Stark."
-
The day finally came. In Mrs. Sterling's 3rd period Algebra II class was when they were doing the contest.
"Alright, class. No electronics are allowed so put up your laptops away. Clear off your desk of everything but a piece of paper and a writing utensil. If you are participating move to this side of the room." She points to the left side. "If you are not participating then move to this side of the room." She says, motioning to the right shade of the room.
The students moved to each side of the room. A little over half the class was participating so Peter had a lot of competition.
"You have five minutes to fill in as many digits as you can. On my count. Three, two, one, go." All the pencils went up and started writing. Peter remembered every digit and he was so thankful to Bruce and Tony. Peter had put his pencil down just as the timer went down.
"Alright, pencils down and pass your paper towards the front. You have the rest of the class to finish up some work. At the end of class, I will announce the winner."
The class got to work. Some, such as Peter, MJ, Ned, Susie, Caroline, and Ben actually did work from other classes. The rest of the class either watched Netflix, drew on a piece of paper, or talked quietly.
"Alright class, I have finished looking through the papers and it appears we have a tie. In third place with 25 digits of pi is Flash Thompson. In second place with 49 digits of pi is Susie Harold. Finally, tied for first place with 100 digits of pi is Michelle Jones and Peter Parker!" The class cheered while Flash was having a tantrum.
"What? How could that loser get more than me? He's so stupid!!" Flash yelled. MJ turned to look at him.
"Maybe if you stopped obsessing over everything loser here does then you would've maybe came in second. Do you have a crush on him or something?" She asked.
Flash was flabbergasted. "Wh-wha no. No, I do not have a crush on him! Wh-Why would you-"
"Okay, Flash that's enough. Michelle, please be nice to Flash."
"It's MJ."
"Carrying on. We can't have a tie so here are your papers and fill out what you can." Mrs. Sterling said.
MJ took hers and wrote down three numbers.
Okay, all I need to do is put down four. No, I'll put five just in case she put down an extra. Peter thought.
So, Peter put down 9-8-2-1-4. Hopefully, that's it, if not then I hate myself.
They both handed back their papers and Mrs. Sterling looked up after glancing at them.
"Congratulations to Peter Parker! With a total of 105 digits of pi. Michelle not far behind with 104 digits of pi. I'm very proud of you guys. So, Mr. Parker, you will not have any homework starting next week. As a treat, I have brought red velvet pie to eat. Come get a piece!" She announced.
Peter sighed with relief. Thank goodness. I need to thank Mr. Stark when I get to the tower.
-
When Peter got to the tower Tony and Bruce were waiting for him.
"Hey kid, how did it go?" Tony asked.
"I won!" Peter grinned. "I only won by one digit but I STILL WON!"
"Congratulations!" Bruce yelled.
"You know what this calls for? A party. Pepper says I need an excuse to have a party from now on and this is the perfect one!" Tony says excitedly. He really loves parties.
"Mr. Stark that's really not necessary. It's not that big a deal." Peter reasons.
"Yes, it is don't argue with me." Tony deadpans.
Well, now I have to get ready for a party. Wonder how this will turn out.
