Thor, Rocket, and Peter were the only ones at the tower. The others decided they wanted to go grab something to eat and apparently that took ten people. Peter was in his room finishing up his homework while Thor was eating PopTarts in the kitchen and Rocket was in the common room doing whatever a "not raccoon" does.

Thor walked into the common room with two PopTarts in his hands and sat on the couch next to Rocket. Neither of them spoke. They just sat in comfortable silence waiting for the others to arrive with the food.

Rocket was always curious about where Thor came from. When he met the god he was floating through space presumably dead. The ship's wreckage was all around him with hundreds of bodies around it. The scene looked like a massacre. Since the day he met Thor he liked him better than Quill. Thor was the epitome of a man. Sure, Quill was a male but he was no man. Not like Thor.

His curiosity getting the better of him he decided to ask. He knows Thor doesn't really talk about it much since it brings back painful memories. He just can't help himself.

"So Thor." He started. "I have a question." Thor turned to look at the rabbit and looked at him in expectance.

"Yes, rabbit?" He asked.

"I-I'm not a- whatever. Anyways, where are you from?" Thor visibly tensed up. His heart started beating fast as he relived everything. From when he was younger, playing with his brother Loki, to when his sister Hela showed up and Loki, Valkyrie, and he had to cause Ragnarok. His beautiful home destroyed in flames. How he wished he could go back. He snapped out of his thoughts when the rabbit yelled his name.

"THOR!" He yelled. "You okay?"

Thor took a calming breath. "Yes, I am excellent. Anyways, rabbit, I am from Asgard."

"Sooo, that makes you a, what? Asgardian?"

"Yes," Thor confirmed. "And people on Earth are from Midgard."

"So that makes them Midgardians." Rocket concluded.

While the other two were talking, Peter had finished his homework and was on his way to them when he heard their conversation. Thor never really talked about the fancy terms from where he used to live. He knew Thor didn't like talking about it. It reminded him of his brother Loki. That was a touchy subject. He heard Rocket ask if Thor was an Asgardian and he confirmed it. Seconds later he hears Rocket say that people on Earth were Midgardians. He couldn't help it. Being the little child he is he had to mention it. Peter popped into the common room and stood in front of the man and the raccoon.

"YeaH, ʙᴜᴛ ʜᴀVᴇ ʏᴏᴜ MᴇT ᴛʜᴇ BᴀCᴋʏᴀRᴅɪGAɴs?" Peter asked. The two looked confused.

"The what?" They asked. They both had confused looks on their face. Peter gasped. He should've expected that two people who didn't grow up on earth won't know what the Backyardigans were.

"We're watching it. Friday, please turn on the first episode of the Backyardigans."

"Right away, mini-boss." She replied and turned on the TV in the common room. The episode started and immediately the three were entranced by it.

When the rest of the team got home, they didn't expect a teenager, a god, and a raccoon to be watching a cartoon. That is what they saw anyways. If they took pictures of Peter and Thor cuddling in their sleep with the cartoon playing, the two wouldn't know.
