The morning after the ship hit, Bellamy ordered a search party together. Callie tried getting Clarke to stay behind with her and help her do inventory on the camp but the blonde insisted on going and seeing the wreckage. Sighing, the redhead followed Clarke out of there tent and saw the small group ready to go. Grabbing Finn's arm she looked at him with a worried look as Clarke headed towards the gate.
"Keep an eye on her please. She's strong, but this isn't something that she is going to be able to come back from easily." Callie said softly. Finn nodded as he looked over at Clarke speaking with Raven.
"You take care of yourself to Cal. Your dad was on that ship so if you need to talk I'm here." Callie nodded as he patted her arm and walked away. Bringing her arms around herself the girl had to look up and take a deep breath trying to blink back tears. Finn was right, her dad was on that ship and it killed her to her think that she was never able to see him again.
Feeling a hand on her shoulder Callie turned around and saw Bellamy standing there with a worried look on his face. "You can come if you want to." He said lowly. Callie shook her head and forced a smile on her face.
"It wouldn't be a good idea. I'll be fine, someone has to stay behind and keep things in order" She said laughing. Bellamy looked like he wanted to do more than rub her back, but he thought against it as he nodded. Watching him walk towards the gate Callie raised her hand in a wave as the group vanished from sight.
———————————————Callie had spent most of the morning in the drop ship doing inventory and trying to take her mind off everything that had been going on. Hearing a commotion outside, she figured it was the group coming back till the gunshot rang out. She dropped everything and ran to the door as the second one happened and everyone was scrambling towards the fence.
Running as fast as she could out of the gate and towards the woods, Callie actually beat most of the camp there. "Everyone. Get back inside the camp, it's not safe." She yelled as she stopped next to Octavia as she knelt over a figure. Looking at the small group that stayed, Callie tried to figure out a game plan.
"What the hell is going on!?" She asked looking at Octavia. Looking closer at the figure Callie groaned internally.
Murphy. Of course he was back, because what else would make this day get worse. He looked like he had been through the ringer and Callie actually felt bad for him. "Conner, Derek help me get him up. We need to get him back into the drop ship." She said as the two boys came forward.
"What about my brother?" Ovtactia asked as the two girls watched Murphy get hauled away. "Let me take care of him. Go get some rags and a bowl of water ready for me. I'll be in there soon." The redhead watched Octavia walk away as she scanned the woods.
Bellamy was going to be pissed.
It had taken Callie a bit to clean all the blood off Murphy and take an assessment of his cuts. He stayed silent, studying her as she quietly bandaged him up.
"You've changed." He said slowly. Callie could tell that his lip was a bit swollen. Wiping away some blood she shrugged. "Seeing a girl jump to her death out of fear does that to you." Callie said leaving it at that.
Before either of them could say anything else, Callie heard Bellamy yell.
"Where is he!?" Bellamy said storming through the door of the dropship. Seeing Callie tending to Murphy put a rage through him that he couldn't surpress. "Everyone but Conner and Derek get out." He said as the group of whispering teens left. Stalking over Clarke and Finn had to rush to make sure he didn't kill Murphy.
"He claims he was with the grounders. We caught him trying to sneak back into camp." Derek said shrugging. Callie stayed silent as she cleaned her hands off and leaned against the wall with her arms crossed.
