It's always the one idiot. The one who thinks that he doesn't have to listen to anyone else. And unfortunately for the camp, Del was that idiot. Callie had problems with Del before and lord did the kid have an authority issue, didn't matter who was in charge. Ever since the warfair hit and they ended up blowing the bridge up it had been quiet. Callie and the others ended up just keeping the group close and trying to make sure they were prepared in case of an attack. Murphy's return to camp had been going smoothly and though Callie and Clarke were still wary of him, Bellamy seemed to trust him again.

Bellamy refused to look at Callie most days. Not because he didn't want to but because he couldn't. Their conversation had been way too real for him and he wasn't sure if he was able to open up those feelings right now. Looking over he saw her as she worked on the bombs with Raven. Her smile lit her face up as she stood up to move her hair over her shoulder. Her pale skin almost glowed in the sunlight as it came through the drop ship door. Her forrest green eyes met his brown ones and he couldn't help but smile back at her as she shot one his way. In the month that they had been on the ground he thought he lost her so many times and he didn't know how to process it.

He knew he should talk to her, preferably before they all ended up dying at the hands of grounders..but things always seemed to get in the way.

Take now for example.

Bellamy heard the yelling outside the same time Callie and Raven did. All three of them ran out of the drop ship to see the smokehouse on fire and Octavia trying to put it out. Callie ran forward to try and help, bringing water as she went. When it got too much, she pulled the young girl back as Murphy spun around and looked at Del. "This is all your fault. We told you it was too much wood and you wouldn't listen." He said as he launched at the other boy. Callie met eyes with Bellamy before they went and broke it up.

"Get the hell away from me." Del yelled as they pulled them apart. "Hey! Save it for the Grounders." Bellamy said as he tried to get them to calm down. Octavia looked over at Callie and sighed. Her face had soot all over it and her wild hair was blowling in the breeze.

"Now what the hell are we going to do?" She asked. "That was all our food." Callie squeezed her eyes shut as she tried to think. Bellamy was over talking to Murphy trying to figure out what happened.

"Well Murphy says that it was Del's fault. Apparently he put too much wood on the fire. Mainly because Octavia said no." Bellamy said later as they all converged in the drop ship.

"And we believe Murphy?" Callie asked him quirking her brow. "Yeah. I do." The brown haired boy said shrugging.

"Yeah. We have some wild onions and nuts in the dropship. It's only enough to last us maybe one or two weeks." Clarke said rubbing her forehead "What's left here?"

"Nothing. It all burned." Bellamy said quietly. "Then we have to go hunt. Anyone we can spare goes out." Callie said as she crossed her arms.

"What with the whole Grounder army out there?"

"Bellamy we have no choice." Clarke said. "We can't defend ourselves if we are starving."

"Okay well I'll lead a party." Callie said starting to head out the door. "No. I need you to stay here to keep an eye on things. Clarke and Finn will lead a party." Bellamy said grabbing her arm. Callie was about to open her mouth to say something when she saw the look in his eye.

"Fine. I'll help Raven with ammo." She said heading out of the door.

"Why not let her go. She's one of the best." Clarke asked him walking up behind Bellamy. Shaking his head his gaze never left Callie as he responded.
