I'm so tired and so empty. My emotions have been drained out of me. I can't go on any longer. I haven't ate in at least three days and I'm starting to loose weight. I haven't gained any since last month.
Shane hasn't been back to the basement either. He mainly stays upstairs now. I missed Christmas with my parents. By now they probably have forgotten I even exist. Every now and then Shane invites people. I hear them talking. He also brings girls over. He uses them and then kicks them out.
Shane doesn't have me do chores anymore. I set in my usual place in the darkest part of the room in the corner. I haven't seen light in two weeks now. I don't get fresh air. Like I've said before I think Shane wants me gone. If he'd just let me go he wouldn't have to deal with me.
The basement door creeks open and I wait until Shane comes down so he can use me again, and then leave me feeling vulnerable. I wait for a couple of minutes but there is nobody coming down. I slowly stand. I haven't used my legs in awhile either. I slowly make my way up the steps and peak around the corner. The front door is bolted shut and I look around for Shane.
I hear rustling in the room next to the basement and I look in and nothings there. When I turn around Shane is standing there with a gun in his hand. He looks worse than I do.
" going somewhere?" He asks.
I shake my head. " Why's the door open?"
He shrugs his shoulders. " Madison. I don't want you anymore."
I suck in a breath.
He points the gun at me and I feel the tears rolling down my cheeks. He walks toward the door but the gun is still pointed at me. He unlocks the door and opens it. " Get out."
I freeze. Does he really mean that? " You're going to kill me when I walk toward the door."
Shane cocks the gun and my heart stops. " I'm telling you to get out. So go! Now!"
I slowly walk toward the door and when my foot hits the front door I run. I run down the steps and through the yard. I feel a sharp pain go through my back and I fall to the ground. My vision goes blurry and the last thing I see was darkness.

They say that before you die your memories coming rushing back to you. I see my mom the first time I was born I see my caring and loving father and my friends. I miss them all so much. Nothing is ever going to be the same. I'll never see them again. I wish we could have had more memories together. But I do know one thing, I'll always remember them.I hear a beeping sound and my eyes shoot open. I'm not dead? The first person I see is a nurse standing beside me. She greets me with a smile. " How are you feeling, Honey?"
I groan. " Horrible. What happened?"
She sighs. " well your boyfriend brought you here, he said you tried shooting a gun and it ricocheted back to you."
I narrow my eyes. " Boyfriend?"
She points the the side of the room and my heart drops. I feel tears running down my eyes and the nurse leaves. Shane stands up. He leans down to kiss me but I shove him away. " you tried to kill me! And you lied!"
"No I didn't," Shane groans. " I told you I'd let you go. I just need to take you home after this."
I give him a confused look. " What?"
He sighs. " I called your parents and told them you'd be home."
My eyes light up in joy. I'm finally leaving! I get to see my family again and my friends. I see Shane give me a faint smile and I wonder what it's all about. The nurse comes back in and I sign out.
