Chickens

Y/N pov.

It was a cool thursday evening and I was returning back to my shop. The shop had been quite busy today so I had to run out and get some suplies from the market. I needed eggs, but even when I got to the stall they told me they had sold out which was very unfotunate but then I spotted a small cage. It had chickens in... they didn't look to good and I asked the seller about them.He said that they came from a few cities away but they havn't been laying eggs.

Long story short I now have 7 new chickens.

I came back to the shop with the animals in my arms and Asra gave me a curious look but let me pass him and go into the yard at the back of the house. I let them out their cage and but two bowls out for them with grain in one and water in the other. I finished that and then went back into the shop to put the other things I bought.

"hey Y/N, one of my friends are coming over later is that ok? Asra spoke while shuffeling one of his decks.

"oh yeah thats fine! have I met them before? what time are they coming?" I got quite exited while asking him questions about his new friend.

Apparently I havn't met him before and that he is really shy. thats so cute!

*Time skip 2 hours later*

I decided to go outside and check on how the chickens were doing, as soon as i walked out they all swarmed around me and rubbed themselves against my legs. I knelt down and began petting one, they were strangely friendly. I carried on stroking them for a while.

*Muriel Pov*

  I knocked on the shop's door a few times until it opened and I was greeted by Asra.

"ah, Muriel come in i'll make you some tea, do you want anything to eat or.." Asra speaks as I duck under the doorframe and into the nicely smelling room.

"I'll just have tea Asra" I say as I'm about to sit on a stool until something catches my eye through a window. A woman with (h/l) (h/c) sitting in the garden facing away from me holding something. I decide to stand up and walk up to the doorframe, watching her from afar. I notice how she is stroking a chicken and a few more chickens are jumping up about on her and I feel my cheeks warm up, she's so gentle and cute-
I was interrupted from my thoughts by Asra calling my name for some tea.

*Y/n's Pov*
As I was stroking the chickens I hear Asra calling saying he had made tea so I stood up, brushed myself off and scurried into the house. I get into the kitchen area with my head down for an unknown reason but I suddenly bumped into something or even someone...
"O-oh I didn't see you there" I said apologetically to the person in front of me causing my to stumble backwards.
It was almost like slow motion as I was falling, I was preparing for impact and closing my eyes until it never came.
I batted my eyes open to find the large stranger stranger holding me like a baby above the ground. His face turning a crimson red and no doubtably mine was to. He stood there holding me for a good 2 minutes without breaking eye contact with me.
It was only until Asra did one of those coughs that brought us back to reality.

I tried to break the awkward silence by tapping the large man holding me up still on his chest and said "Hi, I'm Y/n it's nice to meet you haha, um... what's your name?"

He suddenly came to realisation that he was still holding me tight but still didn't let go. I laughed a little bit and managed to wriggle out of his large, strong arms and stand up straight infront of his.

The large man stayed silent and simply blushed, I looked over to Asra and I could see a slight tint of jelousy in his eyes. I ask Asra the large man's name and it turns out he's called Muriel... Muriel, what a lovely name, it just rolls off the tongue... WHAT AM I THINKING!?
*Muriels Pov*
Crap crap crap crap crap crap crap.                                                                                                                                I quickly sat down and huddled myself under my cloak and drank my tea trying to calm down. I could hear her small laugh and could feel her eyes on me.
