"I'm not going." Alex stated for the millionth time that morning."But I promised Brad that you'd come, Tristan as well." Shay begged and Alex winced at the mention of the blonde boy.
"I don't give a shit, I don't want to go."
Brad had asked if she could come and watch his and Tristan's soccer game this Saturday, and Shay agreed. Her and Brad had been getting on tremendously well and were always talking and hanging out. But she still wasn't sure what it all meant, if they were dating or not.
"Why not? We'll literally be sitting down the whole time-"
"I'm not going." She firmly stated."Please," Shay pouted and fluttered her eyes up at her best friend. "For me?"
"No." She said again.
"C'mon, think of the cheerleaders," She tried to think of a way to bribe her into coming.
Alex hesitated. "You're such a little shit." She groaned and shoulder bumped her as she walked past her, towards her bathroom.
"I'm showering first." She yelled and then disappeared.
Shay quickly texted Brad, she didn't know how long Alex would be and wanted to give him a heads up just in case they were late.
9:43am
To Bradley but Brad:

Shay kind of cringed after receiving the message, she didn't like being called that, especially since she couldn't call Brad it in return as a sort of thank you. She banged on Alex's bathroom door a couple of times before hearing the water being tuned off.
Shay decided to wait on the couch and play subway surfers on her phone for a bit. Alex soon emerged from her room all dressed and ready to go a few minutes later.
"Let's go." She said in a monotone before grabbing her bike keys and her jacket on the way out.
Shay smiled and followed behind her best friend. Alex pulled on her black jacket before sitting down on her bike and putting on her helmet. Shay put hers on also, wrapped her hands around Alex's waist and they then sped off.
Shay wasn't sure if Alex knew what oval they were playing on, so she headed to the one on the opposite side of town. The oval had a large amount of flashy cars parked around it, so Alex decided to park on the curb, not wanting to mess up the rich facade.
"I'm so glad I quit high school." She said as she locked both of their helmets up.
"It sure is different." Shay said, referring to the size of the ovals and the bleachers surrounding each side.
They walked over the corner of the field and chose a bleacher to sit on.
"Do you want any food?" Alex asked her before they sat down. She shook her head, and Alex led her up the steps, to a secluded opening.
She spotted Brad already on the field in his uniform warming up with his team. She waved, and surprisingly got two back. Standing behind was James, who had thought that the wave was meant for him. Shay quickly looked back to Alex who groaned in annoyance as she tried her best to avoid Tristan's gaze.
"Alex!" He yelled from the field and she put her hand over her head. Shay looked at the boy who tried his hardest to get noticed, or at least a wave back. Shay gave him a smile of encouragement, and after while, he gave up. The game had started and Alex wouldn't stop fiddling and moving.
"Are you okay?" She asked Alex who was tapping her foot and picking at her nails almost like every sound was making her cringe.
"Fine." She snapped back and started grinding her teeth.
Shay sighed and turned back to the game. She watched as Brad's team passed the ball back and forth. Someone had passed the ball to James who went in for the goal and scored. The people sitting around them erupted into a fit of cheering and screaming.
Alex excused herself to go get food, and returned a few minutes before the game finished. The score was close and Shay was sure it was Brad's team that had won, James scoring the last goal. The people seated around them roared with cheers and the team huddled up in a circle after they all tackled and hugged each other.
"Why were you gone so long?" She asked Alex who looked as if she were ready to leave.
"I went to find those cheerleaders you promised me." She shrugged and stood up, waiting for her best friend to follow her down the bleachers.
Once they reached the ground a few members of the team walked over to get their belongings situated on the bottom seat, Brad and Tristan were two of them.
"Hey." Brad quickly said to Shay and kissed her quickly realizing that he was in fact very sweaty.
"Hey yourself." She smiled back, he gave her waist a tight squeeze before going and collecting his bag.
"Hey Fuentes," Tristan smiled a flirty smile and winked at Alex who cut him off almost immediately.
"Don't talk to me."
He then shook his head and walked off to find his bag. Alex was dying to leave and Shay wanted Brad to hurry up.
"Shay." A boy came up behind her and said. She quickly turned around and was greeted by a familiar set of eyes.
"James." She smiled back and gave him a quick, harmless hug. "You were great."
"Thanks." He chuckled and looked over to Alex.
"Alex." She said to the boy and nodded.
"You're the one with the bike from exile cycles, right?" He asked and her face lit up.
"You have a good eye for parts." She was impressed and was already beginning to like him more than Brad. "Wait, were you the guy Shay kissed at that party?" She pieced together his face.
He blushed a little before replying. "Yeah."
"Oh, scandalous." Was all she said before wiggling her eyebrows at her best friend. James returned his attention back to Shay.
"It was good seeing you the other day." He said and Brad joined the circle alongside a shirtless Tristan.
"You too," She replied with a smile as Brad approached her opposite side, snaking an arm around her waist.
"Like what you see Fuentes?" Tris wiggled his eyebrows at Alex who gave him a death glare that shut him right up.
"Phenomenal last goal mate." Brad nodded towards James who nodded back.
"I'll catch you around, maybe text you later?" He deliberately said before walking off and removing his shirt in the process. Shay had to basically tear her gaze away from him.
"Woah." Alex licked her lips. "Him I like." Tristan pouted and put his shirt back on slowly.
"Let's get out of here." Brad said and pulled Shay with him, she stopped him momentarily after sensing his sudden mood change.
"Brad, you promised." She reminded him and he bit down on his bottom lip before replying.
"You're the one who always says I'm shit at keeping them."
