This morning was strange. When Shay woke up, there was no sign of her best friend. No sign at all. Shay learnt to never assume the worst when it came to Alex because she was a big girl and could take care of her self in almost any type of situation.

That wasn't the only strange thing about this morning though. Just as Shay exited the shower her phone rang, and it was Brad. She hesitantly grabbed her phone and pressed the green button. He's never called her this early in the morning, maybe he saw Alex? Or maybe he just wanted to say good morning?

"Hello?" Shay said into the phone as she securely held the towel around her naked body.

"Good morning, beautiful." The voice of Brad croaked. Shay went red and made an attempt to hide it until she realised that he couldn't see her response. She kind of preferred compliments over the phone, even though she still had to answer him back.

"Bradddd." She whined and he chuckled.

"What?" He asked as if he were oblivious of Shay's dislike to unecessary compliments.

"I would say don't call me that, but-"

"You secretly love it."

"Bradddd." She whined again as her way of letting him know that he was embarrassing her and she didn't know how to deal.

"I just called to say good morning to my beautiful girl."

"Okay, now goodbye." She rushed but he stopped her.

"No good morning, handsome?" Shay knew his eyebrows were raised and a smirk was forming.

"No." She laughed. "I have to get ready and leave soon."

"But it's so early?"

"Alex has gone A-wall. So I'm walking."

"Fine," he huffed. "I'll drive you."

"No." She argued but he shushed her. Shay secretly liked it when he was romantically forceful. Evan never used to do any of this stuff when they were together.

"Another excuse to see you."

"Brad you don't have to." She reminded him.

"But I want to." He said and Shay smiled. "I'll see you soon."

"Okay." Shay replied. "See you soon."

Shay wasn't exactly sure when 'soon' was so she kind if rushed getting ready. After waiting outside her house for fifteen minutes he finally pulled up and other surprise, got out of the car and met her halfway.

"Good morning, beautiful." He repeated and grabbed her face gently, pulling it towards his own. He planted a soft kiss on her lips.

"Morning." She croaked and have him a soft kiss back. She then felt his arms move to her waist and watched as he took a small step back and stared at her. "What?" She asked suspiciously, her subconscious was currently going crazy. Was there something in her teeth? Her hair? Her face?

"You're so-"

"Don't say it." She said, cutting him off. She saw that he was going to continue so she quickly moved her lips to his again. Halfway through the kiss Brad started groaning- or maybe it was whining, Shay wasn't too sure. So she pulled away.

"What's wrong?"

"If we stay like this for any longer we'll both be late." He pouted. Shay grabbed his hand and shoved him in the direction of his car. They both then hopped in and started making their way towards Shay's school.

The radio was playing yet another awful song, so Shay decided to change the station, as did Brad. For the second time they touched hands but instead of pulling away and acting as if it had never happened like the first time this occured, Brad threw her a cheeky smile and a wink. To which she slapped his hand out of the way and started flicking through the stations wanting to chose herself.
