Percy Stark

It's been almost two weeks since I lost control. Everyday I healed myself more with water, and everyday got a little better. While I could do some, I still don't have a ton of control over my powers and I could only heal myself a little each day. The others didn't look at me like I was a weapon anymore, they looked at me like fun, carefree Percy.

Today's the day I'm going to Xavier's. I have a clean bill of health (physically) and am ready to go, more or less. There was still one thing I was worried about. I hadn't told anyone, but it was in the back of my mind.

When I got shot months ago at HYDRA, there were two men. The shooter and a man in a cloak. The man with the cloak had a blue rope hanging off his belt, and he disappeared in a blue smoke with the shooter. He was a mutant. I was worried I would run into him again. And I feared it would not be a pleasant second meeting.

Line Break

I stood in the garage of the tower. Dad offered to drive me, but I told him I could manage.

Everyone said goodbye to me one at a time until Dad was the only one left. "Promise me you'll be careful."

"I promise Dad. I'll be back before you even have time to miss me." I try to reassure him, but I had trouble convincing myself.

He wrapped his arms around me. I was stiff at first, but quickly covered it up and hugged him back. "Have fun. I love you."

"I love you too. Now take care of yourself. Remember to sleep and eat, and hold back on the drinking." I tell my father.

He laughed slightly, "Last I checked I'm the one who is supposed to tell you what to do. Not the other way around."

"If I don't keep you straight then who will." I gave him one more hug then got in the car. "Goodbye Dad."

"Bye Perce." And with that I drove off in the red jeep Dad gave me.

Time Skip
I don't know where it is so I'm just gonna say it's like six hours away. I'm completely making this up so don't hate me.

The six hour drive was uneventful. Soon enough I pulled into a large driveway. The building seemed to be an old mansion that had been converted into a school. There were kids everywhere, and some were showing off some weird powers.

This place reminded me of camp slightly. Kids of all ages and races who were seen as lesser because they were different. But at camp we were different because we couldn't sit still, but here everyone is different because they aren't human.

I parked in front of the building, and a man came out of the front door. He was the first adult I have seen. He had on a leather jacket and dark hair, that was spiked up on the sides.

"You must be Percy. I'm Logan, the professor asked me to bring you inside." His voice was rough, but I could tell he was trying to be nice.

I got out of the car and shook his hand. I saw faint red marks on his knuckles, it didn't look like he had been in a fist fight. I wondered if it had anything to do with his powers.

He lead me inside and through a maze of hallways. The building looked old, but well tended to. After a while Logan opened the door to an office.

Behind a wooden desk sat a bald man in a blue suite. He seemed to be older, but I couldn't tell how old.

"Percy, it's nice to finally meet you. My name is Professor Charles Xavier," he reached out his hand and I took it cautiously.

"Nice to meet you to." I could feel waves of power rolling off him, and I felt the power in me. "I know you can read minds. Stop reading mine."

The man smiled slightly. "I thought you came here for me to read your mind."

"Not when I first walk through the door. That's rude." I smirked slightly.

"Whatever you say, but for your information I was not reading your mind. I was getting a feel for the state it is in, the amount of damage that had undergone." He spoke in suck a calm manor, it made sense. I shook my head and laughed slightly.

"I don't know what they did to me, but until it's out of me I'm dangerous. I don't trust myself and neither should you."

"Is that a threat bun?"Logan asked.

"No, a warning. Because is I loose control, if what HYDRA put in me comes out, it won't be me. I won't be able to do anything to stop, and the Destroyer will stop at nothing to complete his task." I looked him in the eyes as I spoke. My voice was grim, but I needed him to understand.

Everyone was silent for a moment, until the professor broke it up. "There are some more people I would like you to meet." He moved around around the table, and I was momentarily shocked to see that he is in a wheelchair. I brushed it off and followed him and Logan out of the room.

"You will not be training with other students, because like you were saying earlier, you are unpredictable. In stead, you will be training with the X-Men. A group of highly powerful beings who protect others. They will be able to stop you if you loose control." While the professor was talking we went to another floor.

Unlike the upper levels, it looked very new, almost futuristic. We went into a lab like room with four other people.

I use the term people lightly because one of them looked like a blue gorilla.

"Excuse me ladies and gentlemen. I would like to introduce you to Percy Stark." The others looked up and me and smiled.

A man with weird glasses walked up to me. "Nice to meet you. I'm Scott."

I shook his hand as a woman walked up behind him. She has bright red hair, and a beautiful smile. "Jean Gray."

A women about Jean's height came over. She had dark skin and white hair. She looked young despite her hair. "Storm."

"Nice to meet you."

After a moment the blue, thing came over. "I'm Hank." I realized he was not much larger than a normal person, and that he was just changed with on the outside.

I shook his hand and looked him in the eyes. "Hello."

He smiled slightly then the others returned to their conversation. I didn't say anything, but I was listening. If I was going to spend time with these people, I filigreed that it would be best to know some things about them.

Suddenly conversation stopped. A blue smoke could be seen a few feet away from us.

He was here. The mutant. He was here and I was in danger. And when I'm in danger, others tend to be too.
