Bait. They were used as bait for a thief. A woman no less! What do these high lords think of them? Pawns? Toys? It took a lot of effort to deliver food to the Eyrie, not to mention the potential dangers in store for them on the road. Wildlings just waiting to ambush them and they could get trapped between the constant battles of the Knights of the Vale and the wildlings. Damn things. He spat. Not to mention the two lazy rascals behind him who keep whispering about the incident.

"Who d'you think that woman is?"

"Looks like a wildling to me. Must have been the one who kept stealing the supplies. So THAT'S why we keep missing one basket. Huh."

"If ya ask me, that was one pretty wench."

"Quit yer bickering ya morons. If you wanna survive the journey." He spat.

"Lenard, we've travelled this road hundreds of times. Some of the journey more boisterous than this one." The lad with the wiry frame and bright brown eyes said.

Felix. Tsk. Dangerous lad if ya ask me.

The lads continued to discuss about the situation earlier. Lenard just grunted, it was true that they had been travelling this road for some time. He knew it like the back of his hand. He had thought that maybe Lord Arryn had thought of remarrying again, after all, his wife did just die. No, not wife, wives.

When you get into this kind of business, you learn to predict wheather there's a feast coming up and what kind of event that is. The high lords can be a bit predictable.

If he remembered correctly, Lord Jon's first wife was the Lady Jeyne of House Royce. Now that had been quite a celebration. He was at his prime back then. And a bit of a blockhead like the lads working for him. He shook his head. Lady Royce had a been a sight to see, but alas, their marriage was not meant to last. Rumor has it that she had died while giving birth and that the child she bore was already rotten and dead. What they might have done to displease the gods, nobody knows.

And then there was Lady Rowena Arryn, must be a cousin. As far as he knew, Lord Arryn had a brother and a sister. Both were wedded to some other house. Last he heard was that they visited Winterfell together but she never came back. No child either. Tsk. Lord Arryn must have been desperate to get an heir. It seems to him that the Mother did not favor the wives of the young Lord.

Well, he could go sleep with some wench in a brothel. Should give him a child just well enough.

But ofcourse, the lord was too honorable to do that. Another thing that these lords and ladies like to play with. Their little game of power. And people killed for power. Like that House that got obliterated by the rising figure Tywin Lannister. He shook the dust off his foot. Seven hells, he sure was glad he was not high born.
