A\N I know, I've been taking turns between POV, but this chapter is better in Emily's POV.

That. Was. Amazing! I can't believe the boy I like is in all my classes and lives in my neighborhood! It's sounds to good to be true, and it is, but I'm so happy I couldn't care less. I have to admit, I was a little sad when he dropped me off, but his house is 3 houses away from mine. It went like that for days, and then the days turn into weeks. We'd ride the bus together, and then he walked me home. Anyways, one day after he dropped me off, I went inside, got an apple, and went to my room. I threw myself onto my bed and watched Terminated, my favorite mystery show, on TV. A few hours later, I looked over at my alarm clock, and it was 8:00 PM. My parents both worked 'till about 11:00 so I could do whatever I wanted to. I thought about sleeping until I heard a clink. My heart started pounding. Clink, clink, clink.

I decided to look out my window. It was John. I pulled off my pajamas, and then put on a sweatshirt and jeans. I dashed down the hallway and jumped out the door, and then walked up to him and said,

"You scared the living crap out of me!"

He looked at me sadly,

"Sorry, I didn't have your phone number."

My phone number!

I didn't give him my number! I slapped myself on the inside.

"So," I asked him. "Why are you here?"

"I," he looked at the ground. "I wanted to take you to The Ledge."

The Ledge was a place about a mile from my house. It was a really big hill, that cut off at the top, so it kind of looked like a right triangle. It was a place where you could see the entire city, all the buildings and streets. And at night, you could see all the lights. It was a place where people went on dates, with there girlfriends and boyfriends.

"Sure," I said, "Just let me go grab my bike." and ran inside and opened the garage door. I jumped on my bike and slowly rode out. He was already on his bike. We pedaled the mile to The Ledge in complete silence. No kids, cars or animals made any sound at all. We parked our bikes at the foot of the hill, and then walked up. He got to the top and sat on the edge, his legs dangling. He looked over at me and then patted the ground next to him. I walked over and sat down. We didn't talk for a long time. And then he spoke.

"The city is beautiful from up here, isn't it?"

"Yeah,  I guess it is," I said looking at him,

"You know, this is the first time anybody has ever brought me up here."

"Really," he said, "I can't see why."

We were quiet after that.

He looked out over the city, and then down at his feet.

"I know what this place means, you know." he said looking away.

My heart fluttered. He took my hand.

"And I know just what to do."

He pulled me towards him, putting his hands around my waist and kissed me.
