"WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?" Tony hissed angrily.

"It's...it's hard to explain. I couldn't leave him with Fury, Tony, I just couldn't. I'm surprised that he came here at all. I know how you feel-" I replied apologetically. We had just settled Bucky into his new room and naturally, Tony was very much against it.

"You 'know how I feel'?" Tony's voice rose exponentially as we exited the hallway and entered his big bedroom. "JARVIS, make this room soundproof."

"Tony-"

"No, Madeline, that's the understatement of the century. You know that the sight of that man-he killed my mom."

"I'm sorry, Tones." My voice became reduced to a whisper. "I didn't know what else to do."

He ran a hand over his face and began to pace across the floor. "You don't know what to do? You, the kid who wanted to save a criminal? I'm the one who has to look at my parent's killer every time I see his face."

"I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking. I'll talk to Fury about a safe house."

"Good."

"Can I-"

"No. Good night."

"Goodnight, Tony."

I walked quickly down the hallway and toward the elevator. Ignoring Nat's pitying glance and Jacob's soft, "Madi?", I made my way to my room one I reached the seventeenth floor. The fairy lights in my room twinkled, deeply contrasting with my current state of mind.

"I can't believe I did that," I muttered, burying my face in my hands. "I should have known how this was going to go-especially after I told him Bucky killed his parents."

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed a number quickly. The dial tone droned for a few minutes before there was a beep.

"Madi?" Coulson's voice asked in surprised. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, hi, just wanted to check in. Is this a good time? I would've earlier, but Jacob and I had to find Bucky Barnes. How's your team? Everyone alright?"

"We're fine. Victoria Hand is safe, and Garrett is in our custody."

"And Grant Ward?"

"He-wait, what do you mean, you found Bucky Barnes?"

I sighed. "He's the Winter Soldier, Phil. I brought him to the tower, but he can't stay here. Do you have any safe houses? And maybe a good therapist? More specifically, Andrew Garner?"
