"Hey, my name is Steve Rogers, what's your name"
"Robin"
"Ok, so what we're gonna do is, have you stay at avengers tower, and we'll take care of you until we can find where you live ok?"
"Fine"
Blondie seemed relieved that I agreed to go. As far as I'm aware this guy is the leader of the 'avengers' his code name is captain America, he's from Brooklyn, and he came out of ice so technically this guy is like seventy years old.
He reached forward and undid my handcuffs.
I was going to go along with these people, so I could maybe find a way out of this, and get back to my own world.
Blondie lead the way out into the hall, directing me towards what looked like an airplane hanger. There were four other members that I assumed was the rest of the avengers.
"Hi, my name is tony stark but I bet you already knew that, and this is Clint, Natasha, Bruce, Steve, and there's one guy we're missing, his name is Thor. Climb aboard the ship and we'll bring you to avengers tower." He pointed to each in turn.
I just nodded, walking in to the black and slightly smaller plane.
The ride was pretty much silent, the older heroes sneaking curious glances at me.
We landed about twenty minutes later, and walked onto the massive landing pad.
As far as I'm aware the 'avengers tower' is like the watchtower, just on earth instead of in space.
We walked in and my first impression was that this building was super flashy, like unnecessarily flashy.
Bruce Wayne isn't a very flashy person, but his persona is so he drives flashy cars, and stuff but this Tony Stark seems very flashy and it's his real personality.
We walked in to what seemed to be the common room, and tony also showed me to what would be my room.
I nodded ready for him to leave so I could be alone, because I don't quite trust them yet.
Hours later the sun had gone down, and the Avengers team had gone to bed, I walked into the kitchen, not even tired in the slightest, these were normally my 'day time' hours, my body was used to little sleep.
I sat at the counter, using my holoscreen to see if I could contact the league or better yet Batman.
I typed in a communication to the bat computer, and hit send but all it came back with was 'Error' I sighed knowing that it was in vain.
I heard footsteps echo through the hall, and I was instantly on high alert.
Blondie from earlier walked into the kitchen, and froze when he saw me.
"Hey, What are you doing out here so late"
I just shrugged.
"You know we're not trying to hurt you, we're just trying to help you get back to your family."
"That is yet to be determined."
"Okay" he sounded unsure "do you ever take that costume off?"
"Sometimes"
"What about your mask, I mean that has got to be uncomfortable"
"Can't"
"Why?"
"Under strict orders to never reveal my secret ID"
"Who gave you these orders? Are you a soldier?"
"Classified, and no I'm not a soldier"
"What are you then?"
"A hero, by any other name"
"But you're what twelve"
"well fifteen, but whatever"
"Either way you're too young to be in this business"
"By your standards"
"What do you mean by my standards"
"You and your team think I'm too young right?" A nod from Steve "Well by my standards if I'm old enough to throw a decent punch, I'm old enough to fight crime."
"Being able to throw a punch doesn't mean you're a hero"
"I'm well aware, but it also means I can protect those I'm charged with protecting"
"Who charged you with protecting anyone?"
I looked down at this, I could tell them everything, but I'd also be breaking one of Batman's rules, on the other hand though I trust these people and it's not like I exist in this world, or even this dimension even.
I made up my mind.
"Alright I'll tell you guys what you need to know but it'll be in the morning, let everyone sleep first"
Blondie nodded at me. I stood up and walked to my room, once there also walking into the bathroom, so I could take a shower before tomorrow came.
